Speedy deletion nomination of Areas S.A.
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Areas S.A. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Anupmehra -Let's talk! 02:30, 19 April 2014 (UTC)
Changing geographic categories
editAdding Massachusetts to Northeastern United States is fine. Moving Washington, DC, and Virginia from "Southern" to "Northeastern" is a bit less obvious, and I've reverted those changes. Please raise these issues on the talk pages before making such edits. Also, please make a habit of using edit summaries. It is very helpful to other editors who are trying to understand what you're doing. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 02:14, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
- That was because DC is too far north to be considered southern, but Virginia could go either way. MuppetHammer26II (talk) 02:15, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
- The capital of the Confederacy was in Virginia for a good long while. It is hard to get more Southern than that. You'll need a source to show why it - and why the District of Columbia are "northeastern" locations. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 02:19, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
- The need for sources for these changes was pointed out to you a while ago here. It's not sufficient that an edit seems to make sense to you - we aren't here to add our own notions to the encyclopedia, but rather to compile and restate conclusions that other, reliable sources of information have previously arrived at. You should give a look to WP:RS for a primer on these issues. JohnInDC (talk) 02:23, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

Why did you removed the Northeast template on the Delaware page, but you still kept it on ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY, NJ, PA and MD pages? Most sources about the Northeast US lists Delaware as one of the Northeastern states. MuppetHammer26II (talk) 02:27, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
- I undid it because you raised the issue on the Delaware Talk page, got no agreement to add "Northeastern US", added it anyway without any sources (having been told you'd need them), were reverted, and then added it back in again. You need to understand that 1) content needs sources; 2) controversial content needs consensus; and 3) when an experienced editor immediately undoes a change that has gained no traction on the Talk page, it is a signal to either discuss it more or leave it be - not to make the same change again! National varieties of English
editHello. In a recent edit to the page Blue, you changed one or more words or styles from one national variety of English to another. Because Wikipedia has readers from all over the world, our policy is to respect national varieties of English in Wikipedia articles.
For a subject exclusively related to the United Kingdom (for example, a famous British person), use British English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. For something related to another English-speaking country, such as Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, India, or Pakistan use the variety of English used there. For an international topic, use the form of English that the original author of the article used.
In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to another, even if you don't normally use the version in which the article is written. Respect other people's versions of English. They, in turn, should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Manual of Style. If you have any questions about this, you can ask me on my talk page or visit the help desk. Thank you. Escape Orbit (Talk) 16:39, 24 May 2018 (UTC)
In the other colors articles, the word "color" (without the u) is used, but in the Blue article, "colour" (the one with the u) was used instead. I was confused If I should change the page or not at that time, since most of the time, "color" is used, but I had changed "colour" to "color" in the Blue article. Sorry about that.MuppetHammer26II (talk) 20:38, 24 May 2018 (UTC)
