Speedy deletion nomination of I'm Not Your Girl

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on I'm Not Your Girl requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Re:Contested deletion

"This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because there is nothing wrong with the article. There's just information about the song. There is nothing inappropriate, sexual,or violent. And there is no lack of importance."

The problem with the article is that it fails (in order from largest to smallest criteria) our general notability guidelines, music notability guidelines, and song guidelines, and since the article does not appear to demonstrate any notability its being continuously tagged for deletion because Wikipedia in not an indiscriminate collection of information. At this stage the best you could hope for would be a redirect to the article's artist, otherwise it will be deleted and the article namespace either protected from recreation or alternatively this account blocked from editing for disruptive editing. Which of the two options is likely to depend on behavior, but I'd guess protection from recreation at this point. TomStar81 (Talk) 10:06, 18 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please do not create, maintain or restore hoaxes on Wikipedia, as you did with the article Too Good. Hoaxes are eligible for speedy deletion under criterion G3. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia — and then to correct them if possible. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. A quick Google image search revealed that the cover you added to the article is fake, as well as what the source image is. The album cover has been removed by our anti-vandalism bot, ClueBot NG.
