Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that in this edit to Beef, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 01:50, 2 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of B.B

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on B.B requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Sanctions alert

edit
This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

- Sitush (talk) 15:25, 10 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or a topic ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions/South Asian social groups.

May I know how I had violated Wikipedia norms ??? I just tried to edit what was inappropriate . & I had given proper citation for that too . There are 100s of books stating Khandayats are martial caste but here it's written as cultivators . Why so?? Nayak sp (talk) 09:59, 11 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Khandayat. Sitush (talk) 09:46, 11 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Despite umpteen explanations, lengthy discussions, warnings and alerts about two different sanctions regimes, you did this. The administrator NeilN seems to have spotted your disruption recently and you really do not want to get on the wrong side of an admin because it will lead to a block or topic ban. - Sitush (talk) 09:49, 11 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

Notice that you are now subject to a topic ban from caste articles

edit

For for disruptive editing on Khandayat and wasting time on its talkpage and user talkpages with asking the same things over and over despite already being given much explanation, I have decided, in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the terms of this community discussion, to impose the following sanction on you:

You have been topic banned for six months from making any edits to caste-related pages. Please read WP:TBAN to see what a topic ban is.

This sanction has been logged at Wikipedia:General sanctions/South Asian social groups. If the sanction includes a ban, please read the banning policy to ensure you understand what this means. If you do not comply with this sanction, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.

You may appeal this sanction to the community at the administrators' noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me on my talk page, before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. Bishonen | talk 10:52, 12 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • It doesn't look like you ever click on the policy links that are provided, and there's a limit to how much explanation and advice people can provide. Please edit in other areas for the next six months. Bishonen | talk 10:52, 12 April 2017 (UTC).Reply
