Hi @Noahfgodard. Just wanted to let you know that I made a summary comment and added it to Draft:Erin M. Jacobson. As you also mentioned, I will go over the Notable legal issues section. Thank you! Geo Lightspeed7 (talk) 18:12, 8 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Noahfgodard. Did you have a chance to look at my notability summary yet? Thanks! Have a nice day! Geo Lightspeed7 (talk) 14:07, 9 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Just left a comment, thank you again for all your hard work! I know this can be a frustrating process, so I apologize. Just so you're aware, since you're an autoconfirmed user, you technically don't have to use AfC in the future. Please reach out if you have any more questions! DYK for Innocence (opera)

edit

On 4 February 2024, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Innocence (opera), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Kaija Saariaho's 2021 opera Innocence includes traditional Finnish cow-herding calls? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Innocence (opera). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Innocence (opera)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Atomic Theatre

edit

Good evening. I hope you're well. I'm the author of the Atomic Theatre article. I added the three resources I feel best illustrates what the ensemble I founded is. The Soundologia podcast was an interview where Pedja the interviewer and founder of Soundologia specifically discussed many questions and matters pertaining to Atomic Theatre. The website is the official one that I built. Finally, the Spotify page, I also generated, was verified and have the entire Atomic Theatre catalogue for listeners.

On the matter of visuals - I have tried to upload the actual album covers or at least one of the promotional designs I designed for Atomic Theatre. These do not infringe upon any other artist as I am the designer. Can I upload one through you?

Many thanks for all your kind attention and for any time you invest on our behalf.

Peace,

Dan Medina

Hi @Dan: thanks for your message. Please note that sources used to establish notability should be secondary sources. Your website and Spotify page are certainly not independent, secondary sources; and an interview on a podcast is probably not the best source to establish notability either. Please see WP:GNG , WP:BAND , and WP:RS for more info.
As for uploading images, I think you have to be autoconfirmed to do so (though I could be wrong), but those requirements are easy to fulfill if you haven't already. You should be able to use File upload wizard to upload them, and if they are your creation, copyright won't be an issue as long as you give permissions. Relevant guidelines can be found at Wikipedia:Image use policy.
Please let me know if you have any further questions, and welcome to Wikipedia! Noahfgodard (talk) 22:43, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you so much. I'm not sure what I should do next. The photograph seemed to be approved as it's now a part of the article. Will the article be published? Daniel Medina (talk) 23:11, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
To be honest, I don't understand how an independent podcast cannot establish notability. That was the interviewer's choice to listen to ATOMIC THEATRE and to interview me. He chose to promote ATOMIC THEATRE. I cannot see how shows, interviews, and other engagements cannot be considered substantial and vital to ensuring the entity is both real, active, and is what it claims to be. If you choose to place the website as a secondary source, that's fine. But it is - nonetheless - a real resource of a real musical ensemble. Daniel Medina (talk) 23:25, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Dan: The podcast may or may not count as a reliable source (see WP:IV), but even if it does, Wikipedia's notability guidelines require multiple sources to establish notability. Shows, engagements, primary-source websites etc. are useful in establishing that a group is active and legitimate, but notability is based not on this, but on independent, secondary sources taking note of the subject. It is important to note that Wikipedia is a tertiary source; WP:WHYN explains why Wikipedia's notability policy is established as such.
Based on what I've seen, it unfortunately seems to me that Atomic Theatre doesn't yet qualify for a Wikipedia article. But please feel free to reach out with further questions any time, or head to the help desk for a second opinion or other advice. Noahfgodard (talk) 22:44, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Chaos Junkies

edit

HEllo @Noahfgodard, i rewrited the article in a shorter form. I inserted the qualified external sources in the "External Links" section. Every link proves that we had big life concerts (proved by third party sites). There are also 2 links to independent journals that reviewed our band. What more do we need to change to publish our band description? BR Raffaello (bassist of the chaos junkies band) Raffamondo (talk) 09:12, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Raffamondo:, thanks for your message. Please take a look through WP:GNG, WP:BAND, and WP:RS to get a sense of what AfC reviewers might be looking for. Noahfgodard (talk) 22:19, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
