The Froebel entries on Wikipedia are a mess. Norman Brosterman and I are willing to provide needed attributions and images, from our own published works on this subject and our extensive private archives. But unfortunately Wikipedia often involves a tussle for control. These entries seem biased for what they include (the first 3 external links that point to the work of the same individual webmaster) as much as what they don't include ... references to modern use of these materials, their role in the history of educational toys, their use in the Bauhaus ... the list is long. Past links to appropriate content-rich sites such as froebelgifts.com (which ranks higher in search than this Wikipedia entry) have been undone. If I get support from CliffC (and other longtime editors) I'm happy to share images, writing and research, and will urge Brosterman to do the same.
