Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Wikipedia. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Hello, Phelicia2550. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. People with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, see the conflict of interest guideline and frequently asked questions for organizations. In particular, please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, its competitors, or projects and products you or they are involved with;
- instead, propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the
{{request edit}}
template); - avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.
Last but not least: All contributors must not contribute content that violates conflict of interest laws (just as all contributors must respect copyright). The Unfair Commercial Practices Directive is valid throughout the European Union. In a German court decision in 2012 (that also relied on the directive) regarding Wikipedia: "The court held that when a company edits a Wikipedia article, the resulting text falsely creates the impression that the edit has no business-related purpose. By implication, the judges found that the average reader of Wikipedia articles expects to find objective and neutral information." That is a very very important condition, comparable to the FTC Guide" that consumers are likely to believe reflects the opinions, beliefs, findings, or experience of a party other than the sponsoring advertiser”. This expectation by consumers of neutral information on Wikipedia, requires that companies not write "their" WP articles for PR/marketing purposes.
Editors who are compensated for their contributions should make the disclosure by placing the {{connected contributor (paid)}}
template at the top of the talk page of affected articles and filling in the parameters. They should also supply this information as part of a list on their user page of all their paid contributions.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing, and autobiographies. Thank you. 2601:188:0:ABE6:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 12:32, 19 October 2015 (UTC)

editPlease do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. 2601:188:0:ABE6:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 12:44, 19 October 2015 (UTC) Phelicia2550 (talk) 12:51, 19 October 2015 (UTC)phelicia2550 please review the article that I wrote and please be advised that all information provided is of notable status and verifiable.
- I have deleted your article, for two reasons. First, WP:A7 applies: no credible claim of importance is made in the article, and there are no reliable references to derive such a claim from. Second, WP:G11 applies as well--the article is way too promotional in tone, especially given the itunes links and such. If you wish to try this again, please go through WP:AFC, a process dedicated to the creation of new articles by new users. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 17:40, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Martone (Singer)
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Martone (Singer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. GILO A&E⇑ 16:34, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
License tagging for File:Groove Tonight Remix Cover.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Groove Tonight Remix Cover.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

Speedy deletion nomination of Martone (Entertainer)
editA tag has been placed on Martone (Entertainer) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.
Speedy deletion nomination of The Evolution of Martone 2nd Edition (Martone album)
editHello Phelicia2550,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged The Evolution of Martone 2nd Edition (Martone album) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is significant enough to be included in an encyclopedia, and the artist doesn't have an article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Alvin the Almighty (talk) 09:03, 13 December 2015 (UTC)

December 2015
edit This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you create an inappropriate page.
You still do not understand anything from the previous lessons.
Wikipedia is NOT a place for you to WP:promote anything.

You are NOT allowed to create any articles about Wikipedia:No one cares about your garage band
Alvin the Almighty (talk) 10:07, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
There will be no further warnings and i will keep an eye on you.
A garage band? You are behaving like a pompous jerk. You may not care but there are hundreds of thousands that do. So, now I will begin a campaign to have your gatekeeping access revoked. Keep an eye out for that.
Notability and performers
editHi, I'm writing to explain a little about the articles and why they're being put up for deletion.
Basically, the issue here is that while you have made some claims for notability in the article, they aren't backed up in places that Wikipedia would consider to be notability giving. For example, you claim that Chocolate (Spoken Word Mix) was played on MTV, but I can't really find any evidence to back this up. I see where there's a video on the website, but that's not the same thing as being on the television channel since MTV will allow almost all performers (indie or major) to upload videos to their website. Also, claims that the single's video was the first by an African-American male to feature a relationship between two African-American males is a bit of a large claim. You'd need some sort of reliable source like a news article to help verify these claims and show notability, especially since it's unlikely that there were no music videos of this type put out prior to 2015.
What you'd need to establish notability would be things along the lines of news articles or reviews in places like Pitchfork. I'm aware that it can be difficult for indie performers, especially if they're not over the top mainstream, to get coverage, but it's still required. The article did claim to have a review from a website, but the link goes to ReverbNation, which isn't a notability giving source since it's a promotional platform. A search for the reviewer doesn't bring up anything to show that a review from this person would be considered a reliable source on Wikipedia. This isn't meant as a slight against Armortron, just that it's incredibly difficult for the average person or website to be considered a notability giving source. I've seen some incredibly popular websites and blogs be discarded as sources because they didn't meet the rigorous verification checks that Wikipedia will give a source.
Now that said, I do think that Alvin the Almighty was out of line in how he spoke to you. Alvin, please do not WP:BITE the newbies. You need to remember that they're coming into all of this blind and they're not familiar with the various guidelines for Wikipedia, which can be extremely confusing to newcomers. To them, Martone seems to be notable so just posting speedy notices might not really explain why the albums fail notability guidelines and many newcomers find the policy pages extremely difficult and even intimidating to navigate - even long time editors will still find these pages confusing. Saying "You still do not understand anything from the previous lessons" isn't really helpful when there hasn't been any true previous lessons. What you do in these situations is just calmly explain your reasons for nominating the page for deletion and ask if there's anything you can help explain. It might be that they're here to promote but it's also very likely that they genuinely don't understand policy and don't see where they're doing anything wrong.
However I would like to ask you, Phelicia, to try to respond calmly as well. Asking for someone's editing privileges to be taken away isn't really a good way to respond.
Moving on from that, what I can suggest is that you work on these in the draftspace at AfC like you have with Martone's article. I'd probably recommend that you work on the artist's article first, though, since that's usually the hardest one to create. Album pages are far more difficult since you have to assert a stronger level of notability than you would with the artist, since you'd have to assert that the album could stand alone. This can be difficult to do even with fairly mainstream performers and I have to say that it wasn't until fairly recently that Nicki Minaj's first album was able to assert this level of notability and she's pretty much a household name. However there's no reason why you can't work on these at AfC, just that right now it'd probably be best to focus more on the artist's article and work on those after you've successfully asserted notability for the performer. Hi, Tokyogirl79. Thanks for your comments. However, he is obviously not a WP:NEWBIE. Warning has been given since October by other contributors. He keep on re-creating deleted pages,which was, is now, and will be considered as vandalism, and should be subjected to indefinite blocking. However, I do appreciate your efforts to solve conflicts. Alvin the Almighty (talk) 10:27, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- Well... the problem is that I don't really see where anyone has truly taken the time to talk to them. Yes, it would have been far better for Phelicia to stop and ask questions but at some level it's also a good idea to approach them carefully and ask if there's anything that they may be confused about. Drmies was pretty much the only person to really say anything to this user and it was fairly brief. Approaching Phelicia in a calm manner to explain the guidelines in more detail just ensures that if/when they do try to make another article, that you know from that point on that they were given a good warning about everything. It's not really vandalism per se, so we should really, really be careful about saying that outright. It could just be that Phelicia is someone that was asked to create the page or just a really avid fan. Basically, you need to treat them like you'd want to be treated if you came on here with very little information about Wikipedia and your edits have almost solely been about one thing. Were their edits single minded? Yes. Could they be seen as promotional? Sure. Should they have stuck to AfC? Yes, since they did have knowledge about it. However at the same time you do need to assume some good faith that they might have genuinely thought that the pages would pass notability guidelines. Being polite and making sure that you're describing the reasons for deletion in more detail is just better in general since that means that you've pretty much done everything you could do - if they continue after that point then you can know for certain that it was done out of promotion and not out of good faith. If she continues to make pages in the mainspace after this point on, then blocking can be discussed. (Phelicia, sorry for talking about you like this isn't your talk page.) Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:50, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
- Although that said, Phelicia, I do have to warn you: if you continue to make these articles in the mainspace after this point then you do run the risk of getting blocked. I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt with this, but I do think that you need to restrict any new article creation to AfC for the time being, at least until you get a really good hang of editing guidelines. I'd like to recommend that you check out one of the training programs, either WP:TRAINING or WP:ADVENTURE, both of which give a good overview of the editing guidelines in a more simplified format than the policy pages. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 10:59, 13 December 2015 (UTC)
