User talk:DeHooMin/Archives/2012/January

Hello

Hello Planenut, I see you left a message on my talkpage and I have indeed been tracking your massive mammoth updates on my watchlist. However, what new template are you referring to?

Seloloving (talk) 11:33, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to structure the articles to a uniform layout. At the moment, most of of them have multiple layouts even though they all fall into the "MRT Station" category. Central Station (MTR) has somewhat a similar layout. - Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 12:05, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

Formal mediation has been requested

The Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "Choa Chu Kang MRT/LRT Station". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 14 January 2012.

Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you.

MRT Discussion

Hi. The pages on Singapore MRT stations are actually based on information (or rather, copied) from SGWiki.com, which is also using the same CC-BY-SA 3.0 license as Wikipedia. SGWiki's editors have been following developments in Singapore's MRT and have been updating SGWiki to follow these recent developments. I appreciate your effort to attempt to clean them up, although User:Seloloving and User:Lee480, among others, whom have been updating Wikipedia to follow SGWiki's updates, will not be able to do this since you have been removing sections relevant to the topics being discussed. I, on behalf of them, hope that you can please stop this, and generally just do cleanup. Please bear in mind that there are also other Wikipedia users whom have been contributing to the wiki, and if you are attempting to undo their edits, they will not be able to contribute. If you still persist, I will have no choice but to resort to mediation. Regards, Luacs1998 (talk) 02:21, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Mate. Do you even know what you just said? It doesn't mean that using CC-BY-SA 3.0 automatically qualifies SGWiki as a source or whatever. It just means the information shared can be distributed on public domain. It doesn't mean it must be used. Anything is posted on Wiki has to follow the policies set by Wiki and that means NO ORIGINAL RESEARCH. All the HHPSD updates so far have been ORIGNAL RESEARCH. SGWiki not not part of the Wiki foundation. Go ahead and feel free to ask for mediation. - Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 04:24, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
  Response to third opinion request:
I would note, that the text copied from other resources on the web still has to comply with Wikipedia policies. In this case it surely doesn't, as the unreliable primary source is being copied. Please see WP:OR and WP:V for the policies that have to be followed.—Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk) 07:29, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Fine, I've reached a compromise. See Jurong East MRT Station Station Layout section. Luacs1998 (talk) 13:26, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

It's not a compromise when the dates are still original research. - Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 13:36, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Enough of all these mayhem. I had reorganised all of them, preferably everything we need a comproise that everything is okay. Nowadays, we need histories, we need future plans, we need everything. Train enthusiasts are a different view. Timothyhouse1 (talk) 15:28, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for assisting. - Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 15:36, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Message from Lee480

STOP removing thing because of WP. Please request at the talk page for the station concerned. I will post a photo for "prove".

Remember, you are NOT the mod...

Please put back the removed sections. Or I will request for an blockage from editing.

Hi. I want to make things straight. HHPSDs date of operation will never be announced by any operator if u unsurprisingly just noticed. And the wiki is owned by the public, not by Mr.Planenut. Regards/..

I will post for meditation if this "nonsense" continues... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lee480 (talkcontribs) 08:29, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Please feel free to. :) - Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 08:31, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

I see that you are new to Wikipedia. Please read up WP:NOT. Wiki is a collaborative but at the same time information must have citations. All edits have been made in accordance to policy. As per WP:NOT, your edits of platform door installation progress are not notable. - Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 14:28, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

Do read up WP:NOTGUIDE as well. Most of the information removed are more suited to Wikitravel. - Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 14:32, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

I do appreciate your effort to contribute so far but Wikipedia is not just not the right place. All your updates for the platform screen doors violates one of the policies in WP:FIVEPILLARS. Specifically original research or otherwise known as WP:NOR. Unless there is some official document from an attributable third party source (see WP:3PARTY), this information really cannot be posted. It needs to be an independent source - newspaper, magazine, government agency. A forum like sgtrains is not a valid source. Likewise an image is not a source. You may also want to read up WP:NICE. Threats are childish as with snide comments on your pet articles. I hope you understand. - Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 17:10, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

Before reverting an entire edit, take note of the changes before doing anything. If you noticed, the platform screen doors section was merged into the history section and not deleted. I will let this pass under WP:AGF but not the next time. - Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 17:56, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

I'm not sure if you bother reading your talkpage but the information you are citing does not comply with Wikipedia policies. In this case it surely doesn't, as the unreliable primary source is being copied. Please see WP:OR and WP:V for the policies that have to be followed. I will go ahead and file for mediation since you so very want it. - Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 08:36, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Let's set a guideline we can agree on, so we can maintain the wiki.

Good. Since you wish to take an active role in working on the articles related to Singapore's MRT system please drop by this discussion. Thanks. - Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 07:09, 8 January 2012 (UTC)

WP:NOTGUIDE

Don't use WP:NOTGUIDE be the reason, if you can do it, why don't you use this reason to edit for all Singapore MRT stations, if you can't, you're the silly rubbish! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Peter92542007 (talkcontribs) 16:18, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

Dispute Resolution Process

Hello, Planenut. I've noticed that you have taken a step in the Dispute Resolution Process by making a request at WP:WQA Please notify the other party of your request so that they are aware of it, and so that they have a chance to participate.
