Currently, the non-admin closures are just slapped at the bottom of WP:CFDW with no header. I suggest that text = "\n\nPlease can an admin add the following:"+text+"\n~~~~";
on line 523 be replaced with "\n==Non-admin closure request ({"+"{subst:date}"+"})==\n I request that an administrator add the following to [[Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Working]]:"+text+"\n~~~~";

- @Ymblanter, @Pppery, @HouseBlaster, how would you feel about this? It makes no difference to me. — Qwerfjkltalk 17:44, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- How about if the bottommost header doesn't already start with "non-admin closure" then add a new header, otherwise don't. That should handle both the current situation and the old workflow where NAC requests were legion. In any event I'm deactivating the edit request here since no Iadmin is going to enforce this against Qwerfjkl's will. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:45, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- Pppery, practically speaking that would have roughly the same effect, assuming more than one per day is uncommon. I think when I was initially writing the script I planned to do monthly sections, but I never got around to it. — Qwerfjkltalk 17:48, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- The idea is not to create a new header for every day, but only to create a new header when the old discussion ceases to be at the bottom. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:49, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Pppery: As the requestor, this would probably actually be preferable to my request. JJPMaster (she/they) 18:07, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- That might work, but what will happen if no new discussions occur? We'll just have a very long section. — Qwerfjkltalk 18:07, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- For months that's what we did, and every month/few weeks HouseBlaster split it into a new section. I think it's best we let people do that manually when they think it's warranted rather than the script making an assumption about when it is. * Pppery * it has begun... 18:09, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- That's fair enough. I'll try to implement this sometime this week, assuming no one else objects. — Qwerfjkltalk 18:22, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- I'll chime in and say I am happy with Pppery's solution; thank you to Qwerfjkl for the coding :) HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 20:31, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
