{{adminhelp}} Could you please go through Draft:Sheikh Mohammad Iqbal to see whether the article is ready to be submitted to review through WP:AfC or it still needs further improvement? I am acting on User:Ad Orientem's instructions as to how the article could be brought again into the mainspace. --Lutfy Jahan (talk) 17:31, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
- Could an admin please verify if this is an unblock requirement violation? ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:16, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

editYou have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for violation of your unblock conditions. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page:

. Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 18:18, 5 September 2019 (UTC)- Hi Lutfy Jahan. Since this doesn't seem to be an attempt to deceive the community, I'm starting off with a short block to enforce the restriction. Please note that the restriction is binding until an administrator informs you that an appeal is successful, and any edits to any Wikipedia pages that relate to Sheikh Mohammad Iqbal are not allowed. The next block for a violation of this restriction will be indefinite. Best, Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 18:20, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
- Dear User:L235, when article was deleted in February this year, User:Ad Orientem informed me that i could recreate the article as WP:DRAFT and then submit the same for a review through WP:AfC process. That is precisely what I was trying to do here. Therefore, I do not understand the the need to be blocked. Regards. --Lutfy Jahan (talk) 18:28, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
- I am not an admin but it doesn't look like Ad Orientem told you that you could violate the editing restriction, just that there were 3 standard options available for users who are generally in this situation. I also do not believe that AO was aware of your restriction at the time and it was just general advice. Praxidicae (talk) 18:45, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) You agreed in your unblock restrictions that you would not edit anything related to Sheikh Mohammad Iqbal. That agreement was the only reason your spam/advertising only account block was lifted, and it remains in force until it is successfully appealed. If you continue to not understand why you were blocked, that is a much bigger problem and indicates that reinstatement of the original indefinite block is likely warranted (as you have still not done anything on Wikipedia for a non-promotional purpose). When Ad Orientem responded to your questions in February, it's likely he was not aware of your restrictions. Even if he had been, unless you appeal your restrictions and an administrator informs you that your appeal is successful, the restriction applies. Please see WP:CONDUNBLOCK for more info on conditional unblocks and WP:TBAN for details on how your restriction is construed. Best, Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 19:14, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
- Lutfy Jahan, It appears you asked me to reinstate an article on which subject you are prohibited from editing w/o informing me of the editing restriction. I am annoyed to put it mildly. I advise you stay far far away from this subject. Frankly, I think Kevin would have been entirely justified in indeffing you based on this. In any event this should be regarded as a final and definitive warning. If this topic needs to be addressed again, it will be for the last time. -Ad Orientem (talk) 19:41, 5 September 2019 (UTC)
- Dear Kevin & Ad Orientem, it seems that there was some misunderstanding in interpreting the instructions that Ad Orientem gave me following the deletion of the article in February. However, it is not true that Ad Orientem did not know that I was not allowed to edit article Sheikh Mohammad Iqbal. I did inform him that I was "asked not to edit the article," (last sentence of my statement of 19:25, 10 February 2019 (UTC)) as had been stated in my block tag in February. Pertinently, the ban to not edit the article Sheikh Mohammad Iqbal was temporary and not indefinite as can be perused under the statement of HJ Mitchell (20:54, 4 February 2019 (UTC)). Therefore, I was not voilating any unblock conditions when I was acting upon the instructions of Ad Orientem when I chose to improve the article in WP:DRAFT. That is the reason I used the 'Help me' tag and gave a link of the AfD debate page in the talk page of Draft:Sheikh Mohammad Iqbal. In the light of the evidences I have provided, I request that my account be unblocked so that I may be able to operate my account. Now that I know for certain that I am not allowed to make any kind of edits about Sheikh Mohammad Iqbal, I have chosen article Sikandar Shah Miri to improve under Wikipedia:WikiProject Jammu and Kashmir.--Lutfy Jahan (talk) 16:27, 6 September 2019 (UTC)
- That line does not indicate that you were under any kind of formal editing restrictions. My above warning stands. Your block has expired. I suggest you drop the stick and find something constructive to do that does not touch on the topic of Sheikh Mohammad Iqbal. -Ad Orientem (talk) 03:09, 7 September 2019 (UTC)
