University Station (MTR)

Wouldn't it be better to have the code for obtaining station identifiers from Wikidata (and other things) in the infobox template instead? Jc86035 (talk) Use {{re|Jc86035}}

@Jc86035: The issue is that unlike zhwiki, enwiki does not have a specific MTR infobox. The station codes for MTR are stored in an MTR-specific property on Wikidata. So if we are to do an infobox-wide fetch from Wikidata, the infobox needs to first determine which railway system the station is from, then determine which property's data to fetch from. @Jc86035: True. I am just experimenting anyway. I am trying to do the same on zhwiki, since they have a dedicated MTR box, and so far it is working. Wylve (talk) 10:23, 20 January 2017 (UTC)
