E.Y.C. page

edit

Thank you for amending the page E.Y.C., the previous edits you had to revert were done by someone who keeps on vandelising the page linking random edits and messing the page up, you'll see in the recent edits on the page as one of the mods gave them a temporary month ban which has now lifted however looks like they're at it again, it's very random, they just edit and tag a load of artists completely unrelated as well as editing songs and linking pages that don't exist, very annoying. They keep doing it to the Express Yourself Clearly album page too if you want to browse the history of the pages you'll see what I mean. Thanks for kindly doing the edit because it's getting tedious for us reverting them all the time. Music Editor 2017 (talk) 20:56, 1 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Music Editor 2017: Most bizarre to me is the Crazy Frog edits, changing it to things like 'Kermit The Frog' and 'Kill Crazy Frog Died'... not to mention the pure randomness of targeting Crazy Frog and E.Y.C., of all artists. I added the E.Y.C. album page to my watchlist so I'll more likely notice if they do it again. Exallonyx (talk) 07:14, 2 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Exallonyx: Yeah definitely, they've been doing it ages, I actually thought it was some random bot at first because they would just tag loads of random pages and add words that didn't make sense, I also had to amend the Childliners page too as someone changed that to feat EYC in the artist name Music Editor 2017 (talk) 20:32, 2 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Exallonyx: Hi there, that same person again messing up the EYC page, can you kindly amend, this person has been doing this for ages constantly to that page, I'm on my phone at the moment so it's difficult to edit however if you can have a look at the mess (again), they are very annoying and already had a temp ban, I haven't checked the Express Yourself Clearly page yet either as I know previously they messed that up also, I really don't know why but it's tedious all the time and thanks Music Editor 2017 (talk) 00:31, 23 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Music Editor 2017: Hi, someone else already noticed the album page and fixed it, but I fixed the E.Y.C. page and also Tonight (I'm Lovin' You) (that's a new one, again with zero relation I can discern). Exallonyx (talk) 03:06, 24 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Exallonyx: Thanks, yeah it's so annoying and baffling too, I've amended it and fixed it so many times from this person but they just keep on continuing to do it and I can't always get to a computer to do so so it gets tedious, hopefully there's a few of us watching it now so we can keep tabs on it as it has been happening for so long now so the more of us that keep tabs on it the better and thank you :) Music Editor 2017 (talk) 13:11, 24 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

They've done it again on the EYC page

edit

Hi there, just wanted to kindly let you know they've done it (again!) On the E.Y.C. page and really messed it up big time, I'm on my phone again as I've noticed it as it's early hours here but if I can get to PC tomorrow I'll try fix it all, it's honestly getting very tedious having to do all the work all the time because this person keeps constantly doing this, if you can have a look at the edits on the EYC page you'll see how much they've messed it up. Thanks Music Editor 2017 (talk) 23:25, 23 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Music Editor 2017: Wow, that was the most drastic mess so far I think. I've reverted it. Exallonyx (talk) 11:56, 24 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Exallonyx: Tell me about it, they keep continously doing it and for a long time now they have been, it so random, theye had the odd temp block but that's it and they just keep on doing it, they won't stop lol Thank you for kindly sorting it anyway, I always notice when on my phone at night however thank you for getting on to it so quick, hopefully they haven't done it to any other pages (I think you found it on Crazy Frog before too) but it needs to stop. Thanks anyway, you are a real credit here Music Editor 2017 (talk) 14:24, 24 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

They're at it again on the EYC page

edit

I've just noticed they've done some random edits again, nothing as bad (surprisingly) this time however they still are random pointless edits, I will try fix these when on PC again though is there something we can do to stop them because they're just going to continue otherwise. They've also done an edit in the Express Yourself Clearly page which I'll look into properly also when I get chance, not sure what else they may have edited but just wanted to kindly let you know :) Music Editor 2017 (talk) 02:45, 5 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Edited again on the E.Y.C. page.

edit

Hi, just to let you know I've edited the E.Y.C. page again, I've managed to do it twice since I last spoke to you but they've been doing this for months and won't stop. I also amended some of their edits too on Express Yourself Clearly page if you want to make sure I've done the edits ok. They're obviously not going to stop doing this as they already had a temporary block and a warning on their talk page but they're still continuing to do it. ARIA 51-100

edit

HI there, I noticed you updated some ARIA digital chart positions for Margaret Urlich in August 2022. Thanks for this. If you have receive the ARIA report, are you able to check to see if there are album peak positions between 51-100 for the following artists please? Kristy Cox, Brad Butcher, William Crighton, Georgia State Line and Andy Golledge? Their albums made Australian Artist and/or Vinyl and/or Country charts and may have made the top 100 as well. Thanks so much in advance if you can. Tobyjamesaus (talk) 05:59, 6 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I checked the 2021-2022 charts and Kristy Cox is the only one who's made the albums chart, with Shades of Blue being #100 on 14 November 2022. If you want to add that to her page, you can copy-paste this citation:
<ref>{{cite magazine|magazine=The ARIA Report|title=ARIA Top 100 Albums – Week Commencing 14th November 2022|issue=1706|date=14 November 2022|page=6|publisher=[[Australian Recording Industry Association]]}}</ref>
3 of the others did make the physical albums chart (William Crighton - Water and Dust at #66, Georgia State Line - In Colour at #35, and Andy Golledge - Strength of a Queen at #18). Also, Brad Butcher did make the albums chart in 2019 (at #53 on 15 July) if you were wondering about earlier years too. Exallonyx (talk) 09:32, 6 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

Page protection of Triple J Hottest 100, 2014

edit

Hey there! I wanted to drop a few suggestions about this page, since page protection isn't really the right solution. It's best at stopping rapid-fire vandalism edits, like this.

On the Triple J page, I would suggest undoing the problematic edit, and then dropping a warning on the editor's talk page immediately. Try {{subst:uw-vandalism1}}, and you can find others on the linked warning page. You can literally copy & paste that straight to the user's talk page.

Failing that, if it's persistent, you can leave a message about the disruption at WP:AIV. Joyous! Noise! 18:37, 12 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thanks for the response. I can try placing a warning next time, but I doubt that would help because the person (assuming it's just one person) has been doing this for years. It may not be at a rapid-fire pace but I would definitely call it persistent - look at the page's history. I tried once to ask them about it but got no response. I don't see how WP:AIV would help because they have a different IP address almost every time, so I don't think blocking them would be possible. Exallonyx (talk) 02:41, 13 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
