Good evening (GMT time); hope your well. My adopted user, Db1944 has come to me requesting some assistance in the matter concerning your addition of a template to all of his railway articles. I just thought I'd let you know that he is actually a little upset that his articles have been branded low importance and starting quality by yourself through one template. I beg to differ - his contributions have been marvellous when compared to the fact these articles didn't even exist on Wikipedia english when he started out.

Don't worry - if I was in your shoes I'd immediately cite what it says at the bottom of the editing screen:

"...if you don't want your work to be mercilessly edited by others, don't submit it..."

However, it is common courtesy to advise the lead editor how he could improve it and at least give them a little time to bump it up the quality scale before branding the article low quality and low importance. I will be editing the templates on the articles as I see fit, and I hope you agree with my edits. (I add this text to every possible dispute I undertake) If you believe I have conducted myself in a uncivil manner, or violated WP:BITE, please let me know at my talk page - all advice is gratefully received!

William Barstow Strong

Thanks a lot for reporting Strong's date and place of death. This has been a Burning Issue in a Wikipedia List for some time. You might want the pleasure of removing that item from their list (if you can find it! Sorry. I'm too new to point the way!).

While you have your reference out, does it have a record of his marriage? I don't feel comfortable with that rootsweb reference (which may be accurate! You never know). Thanks again.Student7 14:13, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

It strunk me after I wrote it, that it must be a 'bot that maintains those biog missing data lists. Here is the category, though Category:Date of Birth Missing. Can use same for Date of Death. Neither has Strong on it today, so maybe a bot updated it already? Thanks again.Student7 23:15, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Thank you. You included an extra "project" though - Category:New York City public transportation project articles needing images and Category:New York City public transportation project articles needing maps are being populated. --NE2 12:40, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

In Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/New York City public transportation articles by quality statistics, is there a reason A is above GA? I thought GA was a higher class than A. --NE2 17:13, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

TWP archiving

I have archived the talk page finally on WP:TWP. However, it seems to have got a litlle out of sync in the archiving. What have i done wrong? Simply south 21:44, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

I always archive it from when the statement first gets posted and say its from there which it is, to the end. I suppose this is different with other editors. Simply south 21:58, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

My sincerest apologies for delay in reponding to your kind and generous inclusion - it is appreciated - editing, coping with an oversized watch list and too many threads - and dealing with my kids holidays - leaves me hoping that my various projects can hold a stretchedout delay or two... IP vandal

Dear Mr Lamb,

My IP address was recently flagged as vandalizing the Pullman Strike page and I just wanted to write and explain. My younger sister was visiting me and researching a school project and as a more-than-typically rebellious teenager thought she would be funny... Added station image to 2nd page.

Hi. I hope you don't mind that I linked the old San Bernardino depot image [1] to the newly created San Bernardino (Amtrak station) article. I'm trying to more station more than stubs and this image is great and helps a lot on that page. --Oakshade 04:21, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Lake MArgaret Tram

Just saw you there- thanks for that, I will be trying over the next month or so to work out whether there are any images that I can use for west coast trams and railways that are out of copyright... otherwsie I will be getting a friend to help me make maps of the west coast arts - should make them much more interesting.
