Snaphat
A belated welcome!
editHere's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Snaphat. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

- Thats okay, I'm not. It is obvious who I am if someone just googles my user name. :-) snaphat (talk) 12:30, 26 July 2011 (UTC)

- Apologies snaphat for this misunderstanding; also, Mr. Leon Kaiser, there was no need to publicize my name in the header as if I were the bad guy in the movie. Diego talk 03:13, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
- That is your user name, Mr. Grez. Bad guys typically don't have their names in the title. LiteralKa (talk) 03:18, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
Hi there Snaphat - I've proposed something for the GNAA COI issue at ANI, Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Conclusion, decision. Several GNAA members have voted, as have two neutral editors, and myself (involved, I suppose). I'm trying to get more neutral editors to comment on the proposal (a topic ban of sorts), and was wondering - seeing as you'd already commented - if you would oblige me? As far as canvassing goes, I'm only contacting neutral editors - no-one from the anti-GNNA crowd. The Cavalry (Message me) 22:20, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

editIf you are a member of one or more of the IEEE technical societies, you may wish to identify yourself as such on Wikipedia. I’ve created Wikipedian categories for each of the 38 IEEE technical societies. The new Template:User IEEE member creates a userbox identifying the society and your membership grade and includes your user page in the relevant Wikipedian category. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
