Hey Soren, could you please kindly stop editing the Miraculous Ladybug page for a while? My Internet is laggy and you're constantly saving the page, so my edits are getting really messed up, and I still have to go back and check what you edited and reedit it again. It's getting very frustrating. Thanks. Weslam123 (talk) 01:09, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Oh, I didn't know. Sorry, I'll stop for a bit. Soren121 (talk) 01:14, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
That's okay, thanks for understanding. It was also why I made that edit with a whole bunch of stuff I wasn't supposed to add: I didn't have much time, my Internet was poor, and I saved it without knowing. Thanks for letting me know though. I'm currently adding a description for the first origin episode, and should be done in 20 minutes, so whatever you want to save, save it after that. Thanks! Weslam123 (talk) 01:40, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Got it. Thank you! Soren121 (talk) 01:42, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
I should be thanking you, I appreciate your understanding. I actually think it's going to take me longer to write the episode summary, because I'm having trouble trying to make it short. Go ahead and save your edits. Weslam123 (talk) 01:53, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
I don't actually have anything more to add right now, but thanks for letting me know. Soren121 (talk) 01:54, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Got it. I'm about to upload the summary and log off. If you're free, do read it and try to shorten it for me. I don't really have the time to, and I think it's far too long, but as of right now I can't really think of anything I can cut out from it. Thanks! Weslam123 (talk) 02:34, 5 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hey Soren121, I'm having a lot of trouble with the HTML coding for the first origin episode's summary. Could you help me out and see if you can fix it? The problem lies in the source coding, I don't know what went wrong. Thanks! Weslam123 (talk) 02:09, 6 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Whoops, you fixed it already. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Weslam123 (talkcontribs) 02:11, 6 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yep! You forgot to close the ref tags for Wayzz. When you're referencing an earlier citation, you need to put a forward-slash (/) before the end bracket, like so: <ref name="" /> Soren121 (talk) 02:14, 6 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yeah haha I forgot to put it in and was wondering why the code wasn't working. Thanks again for fixing it! I'm trying to find sources for the Princess Fragrance and ladybug shirt claims, could you see if you have any information on those? I undid an edit by someone who added in the Princess Fragrance, and I can't find a reliable source for it. I also remember reading something written by Astruc where he said that he met a woman wearing a ladybug shirt and that inspired him to draw a few sketches of Ladybug, but I can't find it anywhere. Thanks! Weslam123 (talk) 02:18, 6 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Sure, I'll see what I can find. Although, in the future, please refrain from adding information to an article that you know you don't have a source for. If you're certain a source exists, you could add a {{citation needed}} tag, but I don't know if other editors generally approve of people adding citation needed tags on their own edits. It's worth a shot, though. Soren121 (talk) 02:25, 6 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hey Soren121! Okay, thanks for covering me by adding in the Twitter source and note, I appreciate your help. Just two things: Could you check the Talk page (under B-class section) and see if my list more or less sums up what you, AngusWOOF, and I, discussed on? And also, I'm thinking of adding a sentence under "Marinette's parents" section (In Secondary characters), stating that, like, Marinette's parents ship Adrien and Marinette. I've got a source for it, it's the Gamer episode, at 7:22, 8:32, and 9:56. The only problem is that I'm not too sure how to phrase it; after all, I highly doubt that putting "Marinette's parents ship Adrien and Marinette" is fit for a Wikipedia article. Any ideas how I can phrase it? Thanks! Weslam123 (talk) 06:12, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Weslam123: Yes, your revised B-class list looks good to me. And yeah, "her parents ship Adrienette" sounds pretty unprofessional! Hehe. I would say something like "they're very fond of Adrien". I don't have the episode saved to re-watch but as I recall, they just brought them tons of snacks and commented on how nice Adrien was, right? Soren121 (talk) 06:17, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I agree. I was thinking of putting that they're fond of Adrien in there, but it would be preferable if we could also put in that they ship Adrienette. Of course, in a more professional manner. The problem is how to put it in a professional manner. Well, they did bring them snacks (which Marinette turned down, poor Adrien), but basically, in 7:22, Marinette's parents were watching Adrien follow her up into her room, and were like sighing dreamily at them. In 8:32, they tried to spy on them (opened the trapdoor slightly to watch), and in 9:56, Sabine was holding the plate of vegetable pie cookie thing while Tom just stared at them. I think that counts as shipping already. And okay, maybe we can put the B-class list in a separate topic and put it at the top, so everyone can see it; let's work on those points. Weslam123 (talk) 06:25, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Also, why did you de-capitalise the "les aventures"? Weslam123 (talk) 06:27, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
I think the issue is that we're drawing a conclusion from all of these points in the episode, and WP:NOR says we can't imply a conclusion that isn't explicitly stated. Personally as a fan, I think it's pretty obvious that they ship it, but until Tom & Sabine say something to that effect, I don't we can put it in the article.
As for the French title decapitalization, it's like that on the French Wikipedia page and on TFOU's website. Although, now that I look, Tele-Quebec has it capitalized...I wonder why... Soren121 (talk) 06:34, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Hm...looks like the title is capitalized in TFOU's press kit. I've changed it to upper-case throughout the article. Soren121 (talk) 06:39, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, like how Hawk Moth is actually Gabriel Agreste (seriously it's so obvious in the origins). I really should read up on Wikipedia policies again... My memory is getting rusty. I forgot the part about original research and explicit statements. Yeah okay, then. Hmmmm... Well okay; Thanks for the heads up! Weslam123 (talk) 06:44, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
I've also just checked the French dub episode (was going to look at Marinette's bun in Reflekta) opening titles, and the "Les Aventures" is capitalised. Weslam123 (talk) 06:46, 8 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

What do you think of this:

  • We should have a section to explain the mythology and history behind the Miraculouses and how they work; basically everything that has got to do with the Miraculouses
  • We should have a section for the webisodes, with a small table to list out the ten webisodes, along with really short summaries (one sentence)
  • We should have a section to elaborate on Marinette/Ladybug and Adrien/Cat Noir's personalities, along with the four relationships that go along with them (aka the love square of confusion)
  • We should improve our sources, especially for the French air dates; those are ridiculously hard to find, and we need them or the dates are at risk from vandalism or removal
  • We should add a picture of Master Fu's Miracle box (the black hexagonal box with the seven Miraculouses inside)
  • AngusWOOF has suggested that we expand Merchadise, and possibly make it a sub-section, though how we can do that is questionable
  • We may want to add in a section for tertiary characters, which are basically minor recurring characters that don't play a big role in the show, though it's not necessary
  • We need to clean up article:
  • Decide on ordering of episodes, after season one is complete
  • Boost Reception section, though that will be quite hard
  • One sentence paragraphs should be minimised; others combined into the paragraphs
  • Scrub for weasel words (appears to be, seems like), synthesis ("we know that", "it is obvious that"), and some of the summary redundancy (eg "She likes him. Because she likes him, she...")
  • Vary how Hawk Moth creates the villains as the verbiage tends to be redundant for each episode.
  • Add more content for main and secondary characters, though not necessary
  • Trim down the origin episode summaries (We can either leave it, demolish 80% of it and keep only the core plot, or take half of it and try to combine it with the Miraculouses section)

Re:Miraculous Ladybug PNG

edit

If you missed my post on the other message wall, I got the image from the Disney Channel UK page. I made a low-resolution version of the logo if you want to upload it, as I cannot. It's about the same size of the Steven Universe logo, so I hope it's the right size. Nyantatata (talk) 21:11, 31 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir-response

edit

During my addition for Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir, one of those characters had included Adrien's father Gabriel who wasn't listed there like Marinette's parents were and I thought the Mayor of Paris would've been also notable. As for any of the characters on the page that have been akumatized, we could've at least left the abilities of the different supervillain forms. --Rtkat3 (talk) 22:12, 27 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Rtkat3: The Mayor could be notable, I agree. Gabriel is iffy, though I personally wouldn't contest his inclusion. I don't see the point of including the akumatizations in the characters list if the characters themselves aren't notable. The episode summaries already include details about the akumatizations.
