References

Hi Stupidstudent. No, you have not done anything wrong, so don't worry. But it sould be great if you could add a reference for the name of the current District Gunner at Edinburgh Castle. This is an impotant aspect of contributing to Wikipedia - please have a look at WP:CITE and WP:RS for more details. Any questions let me know. Thanks, and happy editing, Jonathan Oldenbuck (talk) 13:12, 23 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Mentorship

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia!

edit

Hello there, Stupidstudent. I'd like to welcome you to Wikipedia. I noticed you are seeking a mentor. Let me introduce myself.

About Me

edit

I have been kicking around online here since April'09. I struggled, like most newbies, and slowly gained experience. Most of what I learned was self taught. For months I edited and warred (under a different identity), making friends and also disgruntling several editors. This month I started fresh under my new name.

I tinker with improvements, including fixing page layouts. I've created some userboxes in the past. I love tutoring newbies and whacking vandals.

My Services

edit

I answer questions, show solutions to problems and give advice. I also handout some cool goodies.

If you decide to take me up on your offer, leave a message on my talk page. Linuxzarth (R) 21:54, 13 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

GA Review

edit

On Sept 5, you nominated International Talk Like a Pirate Day for GA status. [1] A review of the article has been conducted here: Talk:International Talk Like a Pirate Day/GA1. ---maclean (talk) 20:27, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I encourage you to read the article; I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by what you'll learn. Cheers, Melchoir (talk) 10:31, 4 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Help

edit

{{helpme}} I just got a message saying I habe been blocked for using multiple account by somebody called KYLU on meta. What do I do? Stupidstudent (talk) 06:11, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

You'll have to take it up on Meta. Wikipedia is a separate project, and we can't help you here. AJCham 06:16, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
But i don't even use meta and this is the only account I have or use. whats going on? If it's a seperate project how can they ban me on here? How do I take it up with meta? Stupidstudent (talk) 06:18, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
I seem able to edit again please disregaurd the above. Unless you know whats going on this just seems wierd. cheers Stupidstudent (talk) 06:30, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I misunderstood your initial question, and thought you meant you had been blocked from editing Meta, not Wikipedia. As far as I can tell, this account has never been blocked specifically, and I guess you may have got caught up in an autoblock. AJCham 06:34, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
Wierd well what ever it was seems to have sorted it's self. Glad I am not blocked till the first of December like it said. Cheers for your help Stupidstudent (talk) 06:38, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you

edit

Thank you, very much, for your kind words at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Church of Scientology editing on Wikipedia about my work on the article. Much appreciated. Cheers, -- Cirt (talk) 08:01, 25 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Removal of content?

edit

Mind explaining why you removed what I added on the 2011 London riots article? -Marcusmax(speak) 17:45, 9 August 2011 (UTC)Reply
