Please explain to me in non technical language where this template is used, and why it appears as a redirect. I had to block an editor yesterday for mass creating/recreating non notable software articles, and thjis template was among his many creations. I will of course remove the deletion notice if this is an error, and the article it pertains to is notdeleted. Thanks. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:12, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
- The template is used as version information in cmus. Both the template and the article exist for a pretty long time (i.e. were not created recently). I have no idea why it appears as a redirect or how I can check if it appears as a redirect. Also, I can't find any suspicious edits in the history... --TarkinTor (talk) 02:27, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for the explanation. I am currently cleaning up and deleting several article and/or templates created by a blocked sockpuppet (User talk:Skype565). I have also tagged Latest stable software release/Flash MP3 Player and Template:Latest stable software release/Napster (pay service). I am no expert on templates, so could you please take a look at these too, and if they are legitimate, and their parent articles are legitimate, feel free to remove the deletion tags. Many thanks for your help. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 04:08, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks! It seems the work has already been done by User:Malik Shabazz. --TarkinTor (talk) 10:14, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
