Using Wikipedia for promotion

Wikipedia is not a place for articles about things you hope will someday become notable. It is a place for articles about subjects which have already become notable, as evidenced by substantive coverage in reliable sources. --Orange Mike | Talk 19:10, 13 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Notable to you isn't the same as notable to people in my community. Just cuz it isn't on cnn or tv all over the gloabe doesn't mean it isn't notable to some people. I made my articel BEACUSE it has become more notable througout my community.— Preceding unsigned comment added by ThatCheeseGuy (talkcontribs)

Then where are the references to articles in newspapers, magazines, journals, books, etc.? Our definition of notability is quite clear, and "it got mentioned in a blog I like (that you probably never heard of)" does not meet that definition. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:39, 13 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
