Sarah McLachlan
editA couple of notes:
- The photo you'd like to add is not, as present, properly tagged for Wikipedia's licensing and source requirements. As such, it cannot be used in any article until you've provided the necessary updates.
- The photo you'd like to add actually has a Kharen Hill credit at the bottom of it — so unless you are Kharen Hill, it's not likely your copyright to release into the public domain in the first place. Can you clarify where you actually got the photo from?
- Your edit summary seems to imply that we have some sort of requirement to privilege her Surfacing-era appearance over any other phase of her career. Is there an actual reason why that would be the case?
Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 05:24, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
- Hello. First off, let me clarify that for you. I am not Kharen Hill. The license confused me, as I am a new Wikipedia.org 'editor' (if you'd like). Thus, Wikicommons was ever more confusing. So I apologize for not specifying the correct license. Secondly, I found that photo at the University of Calgary website (http://www.ucalgary.ca/). Seeing as nearly all photos on their website are public domain (and the said Sarah photo had no credit given on the site) I chose it.
- Lastly, I did not imply that it was a requirement to give more credit to Sarah's Surfacing-era appearance over others. I liked the picture for the same reason others like the current 'live' photo of her. So your point on that is void. Nice try. ThePURPLEpirate (talk) 06:59, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
