Hello. Would you be interested in being part of the Bad Religion WikiProject? If yes, click here. I'm also looking for other Wikipedians who are Bad Religion fans (or fans of punk rock) who could join as well. Alex 21:40, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Hi

Hi
editHi Skeleton, I created this = They Were Born to Kill, but I'm brazilian and I don't know if I do correct, can you see if I make correct?
And can you put a image for the article?
Thanks. OffsBlink (talk) 05:23, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
This image is just too big- you have said that it is low resolution in the fair use rationale, but album covers rarely need to be bigger than 300x300 pixels. J Milburn (talk) 10:25, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks; much better. J Milburn (talk) 11:01, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks a lot The Skeleton, I do some changes in the article on pt.wiki = pt:They Were Born to Kill, based in your changes. I always created this article = pt:The Offspring Collection, based in yours wiki, and many others articles, always based in en.wiki.
Unhappily in pt.wiki there are not the fair-use, and we can't use the images on singles and albums, but I always create articles based in yours wiki, bacause en.wiki is the best, there are more than 2.000.000 articles.
Thanks for all Skeleton, big hug my friend!
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Theoffspringmeaningoflifecover.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Theoffspringmeaningoflifecover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Oxford Wikimania 2010 and Wikimedia UK v2.0 Notice
editHi,
As a regularly contributing UK Wikipedian, we were wondering if you wanted to contribute to the Oxford bid to host the 2010 Wikimania conference. Please see here for details of how to get involved, we need all the help we can get if we are to put in a compelling bid.
We are also in the process of forming a new UK Wikimedia chapter to replace the soon to be folded old one. If you are interested in helping shape our plans, showing your support or becoming a future member or board member, please head over to the Wikimedia UK v2.0 page and let us know. We plan on holding an election in the next month to find the initial board, who will oversee the process of founding the company and accepting membership applications. They will then call an AGM to formally elect a new board who after obtaining charitable status will start the fund raising, promotion and active support for the UK Wikimedian community for which the chapter is being founded.
You may also wish to attend the next London meet-up at which both of these issues will be discussed. If you can't attend this meetup, you may want to watch Wikipedia:Meetup, for updates on future meets.
We look forward to hearing from you soon, and we send our apologies for this automated intrusion onto your talk page!

editThank you very much for that. Much appreciated. Yeah, I've been helping out as there are hardly any people who update the darts articles. I'll try and help out on most articles, and maybe some user should request for a Darts Wikiproject or taskforce or something along those lines. Cs-wolves (talk) 18:52, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Darts player form New Infobox plus help required...
editHi, I've just created a template called template: Darts player form which allows you to input the players results for the past 4 years. I've only added it to Phil Taylor's article for now. Take a look and see what you think. I won't really have time to edit all the top players and source the info, but I've posted this message on many users pages so it may be used.
In addition, I've not really had the time to update 2008 in darts which has been bereft of updates since around September. The Pro Tour results are also lacking updates. It may not be a page that continues with 2009 in darts if its not significant enough. Again, if you or any other user wants to take control of adding results then I'd really appreciate it. Seedybob (talk) 11:57, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
Hi, I noticed that you are a big contributer to dart-related articles and thought I'd let you know that I have just created a 2009 in darts article. Please feel free to improve the article, as I don't keep up-to-date with darts. Pyrrhus16 (talk) 15:59, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for File:OriginalPranksterVideo.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:OriginalPranksterVideo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 12:23, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Peacocks & weasels
editWikipedia cannot, even with sources, state that any article subject is "the greatest" at anything, as this is a violation of WP:NPOV. About the best we can get away with it a more neutral statement such as the most successful whatever, if that is supported by sources, and then if someone really notable in his/her own right, in a relevant context can be reliably sourced as stating that the subject is "the greatest" we can quote that luminary saying so, by name, later in the article. If this doesn't make sense to you, try inverting the situation: If we find some reliably published articles claiming that George W. Bush is an "idiot", we cannot call him an idiot in the lead, or even say that he's "widely considered" an idiot. We can note that his competency has been challenged by various parties, and after the lead, like in a criticism section if someone particularly notable for political commentary like Larry King can be reliably quoted as referring to Bush as "an idiot" we can quote that. — SMcCandlish Talk⇒ ʕ(Õلō)ˀ Contribs. 04:52, 18 January 2010 (UTC)

Feedback requested for article on Daily Mail: Quotation from Lord Rothermere's "Youth Triumphant"
editHi The Skeleton,
I would like to discuss the reason for excluding the quotation from Lord Rothermere's Youth Triumphant editorial and have outlined my justification here. I'd appreciate your thoughts on the matter.
Thanks,

Disambiguation link notification for October 9
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited John Part, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Phil Taylor (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
