I had to edit backend\pipfile to change:
Werkzeug = "==0.16.1"
toWerkzeug = "==2.0.2"
python_version = "3.9"
then run pipenv lock --requirements
Extra steps needed to get Celery to run:
python3 -m pip install --upgrade kombu
python3 -m pip install --upgrade celery
Set-ExecutionPolicy -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted -scope Process
pip install redis Flask Flask_cors Flask_restplus pipenv babel beautifulsoup cachelib mwparserfromhell requests bs4 pywikibot
- in backend\app.py I had to change
from werkzeug.contrib.fixers import ProxyFix
tofrom werkzeug.middleware.proxy_fix import ProxyFix

Move / fork?
edit@TheresNoTime: Hi again! JPxG has expressed a willingness to fix some things in reFill, and has asked for documentation. As what you've written on this page is the most accessible documentation on how to set up a local environment, I'd like to make the info more available and expand on it. Rather than do that here, would you be ok to move the page to WP:Refill/Windows, or for me to fork it to there? Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 09:45, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Curb Safe Charmer and JPxG: Hi both! I'm more than happy to move the page to WP:Refill/Windows or similar—just as an aside, Tamzin and I are looking at getting some significant development time funded via a Rapid Grant, seeing as we both have the experience/aptitude/time and this recent thread about blocking the script, which is something no one wants! One of the grant program officers has asked if you'd endorse the grant, and we'd really appreciate it if you did we look forward to working with you to get ReFill back up and running smoothly for everyone -- TNT (talk • she/her) 16:12, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
- @TheresNoTime: Grant proposal endorsed (with caveats). Will you go ahead and move this page to WP:Refill/Windows where I would feel more bold to expand on it than I would with it being in your user space? Ta! Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 11:00, 14 February 2022 (UTC)
