Can someone please help me. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Tnoova (Tnoova (talk) 22:09, 28 November 2013 (UTC))Reply

Commons is a separate organization. The place to upload a file there is commons:Special:UploadWizard which has links to help pages. Just asserting that you own the picture and that it was taken at your request is not enough, and does not prove that you own the copyright: that belongs, normally, to the photographer, unless he has explicitly assigned it to someone else, and it will be necessary for him to make the required release under a free license.
See Commons:Commons:OTRS for how to do that. JohnCD (talk) 23:08, 28 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

The picture is owned by ME. Taken at my request. the photographer was working for me to take a pictute of ME that I own.

It is not his. He took it for me. I own it.

(Tnoova (talk) 00:15, 29 November 2013 (UTC))Reply

The photographer agrees. HE NEVER DISPUTED. I do not know why the one person from Sweden would raise it. I had someone take a picture at my request and I own it.

Please help resolve. There is NO dispute with ANYONE!!!!

I use the picture in MANY placed and want it for COMMON use.

(Tnoova (talk) 00:15, 29 November 2013 (UTC))Reply

Please be patient. Everyone here is a volunteer who gives up their own time to help Wikipedia, but has other calls on their time as well.
There is no point repeating the same claims over and over and over again. No matter how many times you say that you own this photograph, that does not change the law of copyright which Wikipedia, and Commons, must obey. The law says that the copyright belongs to the photographer (unless he has formally assigned it to someone else) and only he can make the necessary release. Your assertion that he does not object is not enough. How to make a release for use in Commons is described at Commons:Commons:OTRS. Note that the volunteers there are also extremely busy, so you should not expect an instant response. JohnCD (talk) 10:45, 29 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
I see that at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files/2013 November 27#File:Michael Harris Ph.D., Academic.jpg the image has been accepted. That covers use on the English Wikipedia only; if the question arises of transferring the image to Commons, which would allow use on other Wikimedia projects, the copyright issue may arise again as Commons' standards are somewhat stricter than ours. In that case you should be prepared to ask the photographer to make an OTRS release. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 12:10, 29 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Your use of multiple Wikipedia accounts

edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Jegrant, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

I have one account and do not understand wht there will be an investigation.

Please help

Please help!

I have had only one account and the same account. On September 19, 2012 I left Indiana University Kokomo. At Indiana University two employees of IT at Indiana University Kokomo, IT, also worked on the Wikipedia page. They are: Kathy Kennedy and Jonathan Grant.

The article is balanced, clean and factual. It is set according to all rules and process. I am at a loss what the issue is.

Thank you!

Hi. Please stop WP:FORUMSHOPPING for this issue, thanks. Also, on the sockpuppet investigation, if you're truly a different person, you really don't have much to worry about. - Purplewowies (talk) 03:35, 29 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
The sockpuppet investigation found no cause for action. Don't worry about it. JohnCD (talk) 12:11, 29 November 2013 (UTC)Reply
