editHello, I'm Justlettersandnumbers. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Volta (Cirque du Soleil), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Hello Tom1819!; FYI, I have already asked at the Wikipedia Teahouse regarding the information deleted by Justlettersandnumbers on a very similar Cirque du Soleil show article, Crystal (Cirque du Soleil), and the answer I received from somebody at the Teahouse is that it was okay to leave on the article uncontroversial factual data, such as show dates and show creative team in this case, and that it was also okay to reference that information from non-independent sources, such as the show official website; I have tried to undo the deletions and to add once more the information on the articles, after receiving the answer from the Teahouse, but unfortunately the information keeps being deleted all over, for no apparent reason, or for reasons that contradict the answer I received directly on the Teahouse. Hopefully you will be able to restore the information and avoid further deletions. From one fan of CDS to another: thanks for your contributions and your help! (talk) 21:03, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
- Estebanpirazo, the Teahouse is a good place to ask this kind of question, but not everyone who responds there is an experienced editor. Would you provide a link to the reply you received? Thanks, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:12, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
Justlettersandnumbers This has been common practice for over a decade on all Cirque du Soleil show pages and can also be seen on any notable musician's large tours. If you don't believe me, see the following articles and notice how NONE have cited sources for their performance dates/cities; I can add literally hundreds more if you so wish: The 1989 World Tour, 24K Magic World Tour, Joanne World Tour, Corteo, Alegría (Cirque du Soleil)... The reply given to Estebanpirazo is correct on this matter. If you are not prepared to delete all the tour plans from all these other articles (and hence face the possible criticism from other moderators) then I suggest you stop removing these ones regarding Cirque du Soleil. Thanks. Tom1819 (talk) 09:33, 16 January 2018 (UTC)
