Notability on Wikipedia
editHi! I realized that I never really left you a note to show why I nominated your article for deletion. The reason is ultimately that I could find nothing to show where this fanfiction is notable enough to be included on Wikipedia. If you are the author, which is likely given that most articles on fanfiction are written by their authors or someone who is in direct contact with them, then please do not take this personally. It's incredibly difficult to establish notability for written works in general, even in cases where the works were written by well known, notable individuals and/or were published by one of the Big Four.
To establish notability for works you'd have to show where the fanfic received coverage in independent and reliable sources like newspaper reviews or articles in places Wikipedia would consider reliable, like TheMarySue or AV Club. Fanfics rarely get any attention and when they do, it's usually just to mention it in passing. Even some of the more well known fanfictions usually fail notability guidelines and it's incredibly rare when one does gain enough coverage to warrant an article. Even then it's pretty rare. In the AfD I'd mentioned that even My Immortal didn't have an article. This ended up being incorrect, but the thing with that fanfic is that it took until about 2015 for someone to find enough coverage to justify the article. A newly written fanfiction is unlikely to gain that type of coverage. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 06:16, 25 July 2016 (UTC)
Don't blank the article while it is under AFD. As I said on your IP, if you now want to delete the article then a comment at the AFD from your named account. Meters (talk) 15:55, 28 July 2016 (UTC)
