List of Schools In Nyandarua moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, List of Schools In Nyandarua, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. - @John B123: Thankyou for your feedback. I am re-orgnaising the article List of schools in Kenya that is quite messy and requires major cleanup that may require re-organisation into new articles. I would be happy if you can help expand the articles.--waweruboyWaweruboy (talk) 18:39, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright
editHello Waweruboy, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to Wanga Kingdom have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Moneytreesđď¸Talkđ´Help out at CCI! 12:58, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Moneytrees thankyou for your input. I fixed violations but still getting issues. As per this, the sources of apparent violations including this is public news site by Daily Nation which is freely available for re-use. This one too 1 is a public government website with freely available content to use that is not copyrighted. As per this specifically under the section main menu, then web resources, then publications the editor explicitly states Feel free to use our collection of Luhya resources for academic, historical or general interest. We have compiled the bibliography from a number of sources for whom we are indebted. If you do find published information not on our list please tell us so that we may keep our records updated. Sent all communication to the editor@abeingo.org. Can you help expand this to address this issue. I relied on these freely available material to make edits and appreciate your feedback.--waweruboyWaweruboy (talk) 15:30, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
Nyandarua County
editPlease do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Nyandarua County. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 14:31, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
- Hi Arjayay. thankyou for the feedback --waweruboyWaweruboy (talk) 14:46, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for September 13
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ ⢠Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
- List of schools in Kenya
- added a link pointing to National
