Placed on another page by accident
editHello fyibecatulous, You blocked me from editing the erroneous and incomplete information on the wiki site that is about me, author Echo Heron. Your message states that the information I corrected (the actual titles of my books, inserting title of my latest book, place of birth, and my title as a critical care nurse) as "not constructive"? These are minor constructive edits by the person who is the subject of the page!!! What do I need to do here? Wryter47 (talk) 22:57, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for asking. I will try to explain in two steps. The Persondata template is no longer being used. Please see: WP:Persondata. It is routinely being removed from articles and there is no need to try to update it. Whenever I make a change to an article that still has Persondata on it, I just remove it in another edit.
- Secondly, your good faith edit to change facts also included a whole page of unwanted markup: [1] (click link to see) All those example images are from incorrect formatting. This is not a fault for a new editor, but it needs to be restored to the last good looking version. Do you want the article to look like that? That is why the message says "please practise in the WP:Sandbox" to learn how to correctly add what you want. You are entirely free to make more edits to the article to add what you want, carefully.
- Also, an edit summary of what you were doing (like you used in earlier changes) would have helped explain. I really had no way of knowing these weren't just adding more incorrect information.
- I am not going to bring up the issue though, that it seems if you are the author, then you are editing with a conflict of interest. I wish you the best and happy editing. Fylbecatulous talk 23:29, 6 April 2016 (UTC)
