The Board of Land and Works was a board in Victoria, Australia, that throughout its existence, was responsible for matters involving public works, public lands, railways, main roads, bridges, Melbourne sewage and water supply, rural water supply, aboriginal welfare, and local government. Carrying out these functions was delegated to sub-departments of the board, many of which are now Departments of State following the abolishment of the board.[1]
