The Vietnam Tourism Association is a non-governmental and non-profit professional association for individuals, organizations, and businesses involved in the tourism industry in Vietnam. The association's official English name is Vietnam Tourism Association, abbreviated as VITA.[1][2]

History
editThe Vietnam Tourism Association was established by Decision No. 18/2002/QĐ-BNV on December 25, 2002, issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs . Its headquarters is located on the 7th floor, 58 Kim Ma Building, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi.
The Vietnam Tourism Association has been a member of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) since August 2004. In April 2004, it joined the ASEAN Tourism Association (ASEANTA), headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
