Original - Eumeces fasciatus (here an adult with partly regrown tail pictured in parkland in Memphis, Tennessee), is a small to medium sized skink growing to about 12.5 centimres (4.9 in) to 21.5 centimetres (8.5 in) total length, and one of the most common lizards in the US, and one of only five lizard species occurring in Canada.
