Original - Sveti Sedmochislenitsi Church (The Seven Saints) in Sofia Bulgaria. Built (1901-1902) over an old building. Inaugurated 1903. It is amidst the best examples of the Bulgarian Romantism and the Neo-Byzantine architecture in the country. The temple is dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius and their five disciples (Clement of Ohrid, Naum of Preslav, Gorazd, Sava and Angelarius), known in the Orthodox Church collectively as the Sedmochislenitsi.
Reason
Excellent exterior view of the entire temple which is among the landmarks of the Bulgarian capital as well as a very good representation of the Neo-Byzantine architecture and the Bulgarian Romantism in the architecture.
