Original – Yanar Dag, a natural gas fire which blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula near Baku, Azerbaijan.

Alt Reduced darkness, cropped benches

Reason: Frontal night shot of an interesting thing, person gives a sense of scale, lead image in the article. If needed, tweaks of things like highlights or contrast are possible.

Oppose - Sorry, but the background is too dark and the darkness covers half of the photograph. The benches in the front are also a distraction. However, I like this alternative photograph of it more. Étienne Dolet (talk) 06:29, 9 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Daytime photo
