I'm not sure how to phrase this question, but is there a policy on using subjective words to describe an organization when refering to it in another article. For example, would it be appropriate to say "he is a reporter for conservative Fox News..." or "he writes for the liberal website Huffington Post", rather than simply saying "he is a reporter for Fox News...", etc.? (Even if the linked article finds it appropriate to characterize the organization thusly.) 108.16.195.202 (talk) 02:09, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Avoid that. See WP:NPOV and Loaded language. RudolfRed (talk) 02:21, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a title and some links to the articles you mention, to make it easier for other users to see what you're talking about Rojomoke (talk) 06:33, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You have received advice on your own user talk page, in response to your request at User talk:RSTech1#please help me, and in edit summaries on the affected articles. --David Biddulph (talk) 08:30, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Reversing a redirect

edit

Uchtred of Galloway is a redirect to Uhtred of Galloway. But the subject's name, throughout the article and in the majority of external sources that I have been able to find, is spelled Uchtred. Is it possible for an ordinary autoconfirmed user to make the redirection go the other way? Maproom (talk) 09:24, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I note the admin who originally named the page also changed its name from Uchtred to Uhtred, which suggests either a mistake or some reconsideration. A few sources use Uhtred. However it doesn't look to controversial - because the redirect contains more than one revision, if you are still sure it wants to be moved, you will be able to request the redirect's deletion using the {{db-move}} template. -- zzuuzz (talk) 09:48, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Black light revenue

edit

Is the term created by Mike Morrison which describes the identification of revenue which lies congested and unseen in the revenue systems of companies -

This is largely the outcome of the BIG DATA era - which began in 2006 the start of the infotronics era 2006 -

This term was created by Mike Morrison prior to becoming CMO of RPMG / RPMT - in 2016 . — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mikiwikimorgy (talkcontribs) 10:17, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What is your question about editing Wikipedia, Mikiwikimorgy? If you're thinking about writing an article, please see your first article. If you want to request an article, you can do so at Requested articles (though there is a huge backlog). But if the term was only created in 2016, it is unlikely (though not impossible) that it has already been written about enough to ground an article. See notability. --ColinFine (talk) 15:49, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Mikiwikimorgy:- If you are proposing an article about a neologism, these are commonly deleted, as is explained at WP:NOTNEO - Arjayay (talk) 15:57, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

My Business Information Page is blocked. What should I do?

edit

My business Page was by the name of "Fresca Juices" and it has been blocked by 3 users. I don't know why? My business is registered with trade mark and all the other necessary documents. What should I do? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.95.235.214 (talk) 10:45, 3 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing. If your business meets our notability guidelines, then someone without a conflict of interest will write the article. Wikipedia is not here for you to advertise on and the community owns all pages here (not businesses). For there to be an article about your company, there needs to be multiple professionally published mainstream academic or journalistic sources that are specifically about your business but NOT affiliated with it, and someone who does not work for or with you or your company would have to write the article based on those sources.
