Can someone make the template for PD-BW-exempt?--Jeromi Mikhael (talk) 06:25, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Jeromi Mikhael:, as the file is hosted at our sister project Commons (a separate media repository for freely licensed and PD media), it would be better to ask this question at Commons:Commons:Village Pump/Copyright. A collection of country-specific copyright rules including Botswana can be found at Commons:Commons:Copyright rules by territory. (Disclaimer: While this collection is quite useful, it is compiled and maintained by volunteer laypeople. So it may not always be completely actual or accurate for all countries.) Nothing we can do to help you since we have no idea what you are talking about. This was the first edit ever made by your IP. What page were you editing, and what IP or account were you using? You can find out by by viewing he history of the page in question. Meters (talk) 06:41, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
IP went on to edit Visa requirements for Somali citizens so I assume that's the article. The previous edit by a very close IP was undone as not being confirmed by the cited sources. Meters (talk) 06:43, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Pinging user:Twofortnights who has been making the undoes. Meters (talk) 06:46, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. Indeed I undid the edit as no source was provided to back up the claim that Somali citizens are eligible for eVisa and visa on arrival to Turkey. As with most African countries Somalian citizens are only eligible for a conditional eVisa - if holding a valid Schengen or US visa. However this is nothing new and in all other articles under such regime this is listed as "visa required" as indeed such nationals need either a Turkish sticker visa from an embassy or an electronic visa and another sticker visa combined. As for visa on arrival facility it does not exist for Somalian citizens at all. Hope this clears it up.--Twofortnights (talk) 11:36, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

my first Wikipedia article ever "Stef "Wolf" Wolput

edit

Hi, I just wrote my first article ever. It was not accepted because I need to make footnotes in stead of references ... Problem is I am not sure how to do this correctly in the editing system. I would be very happy if someone could help me in a simple way (I am a bit lost in all the new pages with guidelines). Feel free to edit yourself (I think that is possible in the community). Thanks ever so much, Katrien (same as Katherine, but Flemish, from Belgium :-) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.177.225.208 (talk) 12:20, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Katrien, your post is your only edit from the IP address used. Please provide a link to the page in question so volunteers here can help you. Thank you. Eagleash (talk) 12:23, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Meanwhile, you might like to read WP:Referencing for beginners. I assume you mean in-line references when you mention footnotes. Dbfirs 14:25, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Eagleash: it appears to be User:Katrien_de_Pillecyn/sandbox/Stef_"Wolf"_Wolput, which needs inline citations (it has a bibliography).
We have strict referencing requirements for biographies of living persons. In short, any material that someone might challenge must be referenced inline by reliable sources so that it isverifiable. A good place to start would be WP:Referencing for beginners, which Dbfirs linked. LittlePuppers (talk) 15:38, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Al Rahman assistant. I'm afraid you have come to the wrong place for this. This page is for help in editing Wikipedia, the encyclopaedia that anybody may edit: nothing else. Any kind of advocacy (however worthy the cause) is specifically forbidden in Wikipedia. Sorry. --ColinFine (talk) 22:34, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
