American Canasta

edit

Why can't I play my purchased games in the United States? None of my States come up. Thank you Annette — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.195.152.64 (talk) 00:46, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@73.195.152.64 I don't know how it is connected to Wikipedia or anything. If it is, please elaborate

Why won't wikipedia feature list everyday like articles, pictures etc?

edit

Why won't wikipedia feature list everyday like articles, pictures etc? There is no feature list on Oct 9 2021. Rizosome (talk) 04:25, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia:Today's featured list. Like those other you mentioned, these are reliant on there being people to allocate them to be on TFL, feel free to start suggesting articles for specific dates and writing blurbs. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 08:40, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

math fonts rotated 90 and 270 degrees

edit

I have noticed several instances of math fonts rotated 90 and 270 degrees -- on pages that I have viewed before. Is there some systematic error that is leading to these issues? Best regards Gavin — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.157.239.122 (talk) 05:26, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gavin, could you possibly link a few example instances? Firefangledfeathers (talk) 05:29, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

How to delete or clean non empty redirect

edit

Hello, I'm from idwiki and there are some redirect pages that is not empty in idwiki (the redirect page has a different version of the same article).

Is there a way to clean them fast or automatically by using a bot? Or is there a tool to search a list of these non empty redirect pages?

I've used Petscan before and it does not seem to work when I dont have a specific category to search it. Thank you FenyMufyd (talk) 06:41, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@FenyMufyd: HI there! We have non-empty redirect pages on enwiki. My BattyBot 43 removed maintenance templates from redirects on enwiki. You may have to ask your question on idwiki (if you haven't done so already). Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 04:02, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Unregistered users

Hello there! Why IPs cannot create pages (except talk pages and drafts), cannot move pages, cannot upload files, cannot have user pages, cannot edit protected pages (except pending changes protection), cannot have minor edits option, and must answer CAPTCHA if they wish to add external links? Vitaium (talk) 15:02, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Vitaium: There were many problems with IP vandalism, spam and poor edits, sometimes automated against the rules. IP addresses often change or are shared so an IP user page would often be meaningless. Creating an account is easy. PrimeHunter (talk) 15:20, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's worth noting that drafts can become articles, so anonymous users can totally create articles. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 19:05, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

School of thought

edit

I tried to create a hat note at School of thought which directs readers to Ded (band). This has been reverted twice. WP:DR and WP:3O ask that the issue be discussed extensively on the talk page for School of thought, which gets relatively low visibility. Should I use WP:RFC in this case? Please {{ping}} me when you reply. --Jax 0677 (talk) 16:39, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This is under discussion on my own talk page. Please don't WP:FORUMSHOP. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 16:43, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Question about footnote and parentheticals

edit

Could anyone please tell me if a citation should go inside or outside a closing parenthesis if the citation pertains specifically to the information in the parenthetical?--Thylacine24 (talk) 23:20, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Inside, according to MOS:REFPUNCT. --David Biddulph (talk) 00:13, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@David Biddulph: Thanks.--Thylacine24 (talk) 02:00, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
