This list should mainly concentrate on India related images.

Public domain images

Please add few sites where Indian public domain images can be found.

• The National Repository of Open Educational Resources content is available under CC-BY-SA license. The images might be particularly useful for India-related articles on Wikipedia. However, some samples may not be allowed on Commons for various reasons. For example some images are PD India but not PD in USA.

Film personalities

• Bollywood Hungama (website): only events and parties' images can be uploaded, that means you can not upload wallpapers, movie clippings, film posters. Generally "parties and events" are mentioned in the URL, see an example.
  Upload the image in Wikimedia Commons and use {{Cc-by-3.0-BollywoodHungama}} as license. (just copy paste the code).

1. . As of June 2013, when someone uses a custom license in upload wizard, it takes a long time to upload, so, you can initially choose CC-3.0 from the option, and after uploading change the license to Bollywood Hungama.

• Filmitadka.in (website): for all photographs exclusively created by their own photographers with the exception of screenshots, wallpapers or promotional posters. Follow the above instructions of uploading and use {{Cc-by-sa-3.0-FilmiTadka}} for license.

Note:

1. Images of politicians and other socialites can also be found here.
2. Please bear caution while uploading images grouped under "events and parties" for non-Indian events, eg. Cannes Film Festival, as the site is likely to not be a copyrights holder.

Indian Navy

• Images published by the Indian Navy on their official website can be used under the Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 India license with due attribution to the Indian Navy. For more details about the permission, see Template:Indian navy.

Tools to search free images

• Creative Commons search: Creative Commons image search tool. The worst part of this tool is, it cannot search in multiple sites at once. You need hit on "back" of your browser to go back to the search page again.
