- It is orphaned, and it doesn't look like it was ever added to an article, so I think we can go with the delete in this case. - ForeverTime 16:39, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

- The book itself never had an article it would seem, just the author (which has now been deleted), so this image should be too. - ForeverTime 16:41, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks for pointing out that the photo had been orphaned. I have now added it to the article on Boston Common. The pond is a major feature of that park. — President Lethe 04:39, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- The image is a derivative of Image:FrogPondBostonCommon.JPG, which was nominated for deletion below, partially due to the uploader's questionable upload history. If that one's deleted, this one probably should be, too. -- RG2 23:53, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Sri Lankan military rank insignia
editThe following images of Sri Lankan military rank insignia were not produced by the Sri Lankan government, but by the commercial website http://www.uniforminsignia.net, and are claimed here under fair use. However, the website who produced these is also an encyclopedia, and our usage of the images is in direct competition with them, making these a violation of WP:NFCC#2. - 1) this does not contribute significantly to the article. readers will not understand teh product any less by having no first edition box 2) this might be replaceable anyways, since a user might be able to take a photo of an old copy Calliopejen1 21:40, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
- Keep.1) A chapter of the article is about the launch of exactly this version of the product. 2) It's unrealistic to the the degree of impossible to receive a photo of this release which is 11 years ago. Arguments like these of Calliopejen result in the ongoing loss of valueable information from Wikipedia. And contributors too. --Peter Eisenburger 06:27, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
- Keep, under one condition. IF and ONLY IF someone can't take a picture of the box themself, we can keep this for now. ViperSnake151 15:12, 28 October 2007 (UTC)
- Image kept. I really don't see this image as necessary to help readers' understanding, but I don't see a clear consensus to delete, either. -- RG2 12:09, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
