The result of the debate was: Deleted, it's a non-free image that does not appear to enhance the understanding of the articles it's used in. Non-free images may not be used only for "decorative" purposes per Wikipedia:Non-free content. --Sherool (talk) 19:28, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Sorry about the delay. First see fairuse policy for unacceptable uses. At Alfred Bester, it was being used to merely show a scene from a teleplay that he had written. There is nothing in particular about that scene and it looks mostly merely to show what Harris looked like. There is nothing that indicates that its addition would "significantly increase readers' understanding of the topic, and its omission would be detrimental to that understanding". Perhaps one could argue that Harris' look was unique or something but that's clearly not true. As to its use at NBC Sunday Showcase, it is even more of a stretch as it is being used for the same reason: just for illustrative purposes only. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 00:28, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I see your point. I did an extensive search to find a still from Bester's Murder and the Android, but the only one I located was so poor in visual quality that it could not be used. Pepso2 (talk) 23:54, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Couldn't that logic be applied to any movie still? Btw, it is not easy to locate pix from early TV anthology series, so any find is like stumbling across a gold nugget. Pepso2 (talk) 09:16, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
