Wikipedia:Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute
The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) is a United States government-sponsored organization that funds and reports the relative effectiveness of various medical treatments.
This page lists projects and resources that support individuals who use or collaborate with PCORI content. This is not a Wikipedia article, but rather a project page. Information here can be edited by anyone. The Wikipedia community of editors maintains this page, including with the support of WikiProject Medicine participants.
Creating a Wikipedia account and learning to edit
editIf you do not have a Wikipedia account, it is helpful (though not necessary) to create one. Some people use their real name on Wikipedia, yet others use a pseudonym for privacy reasons. All Wikipedia contributions and edits are tied to your username indefinitely, including edits and the editing reputation you will begin to develop. It is difficult to change a username after you begin using it, so consider this before creating one.
It is recommended you provide your email address when you create your account, and then respond to the confirmation email. This will allow you to get notifications and alerts of changes to your edits (if you choose), and will also allow Wikipedians to contact you if there is a need. A confirmed email address is the only way to recover your account if you ever forget your password. Your email will not be publicly visible nor given to anybody else without your consent.
