We've got to contextualise these character's importance to the medium, not within their own specific sphere. So in the DC COmics Fate is probably going to be of mid level importance, but that translates to low in relation to the whole of comics. We've got to bear in mind that a lot of characters are going to be of no importance, the bit parters and so on. Low is quite high in that sense. I mean, an article on the character is not going to be a must, but it's certainly not filler. I can see how a low was given, but I can also see where you are coming from suggesting a mid. HidingTalk20:12, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Could someone look at Clea; it has no rating, on importance or quality. She's a very long-term supporting character, and I'd say the article is slightly better than a stub--Erikacornia07:24, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Could someone take a look over Robin (Tim Drake) please. I've rated it B/Mid, but I'm not sure if it should be higher up the "Class" scale. I may be a bit biased in that I've just spent a fair chunk of time tweaking it. — J Greb22:09, 2 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Looks right to me. For me it would need more references, needs to be written with the present tense where it describes plot detail and needs better grounding our universe, as well as a better lead paragraph to be an A class. I might move it down to a start class article, but I'm not over-bothered. HidingTalk14:00, 5 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Chris has set them to Mid, Low and Low respectively, which I tend to agree with. I'd probably have gone Low on Carnage and offered a none on the other two, but Chris' way works too. HidingTalk21:25, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
"Why Low on Carnage?" Well, why not. Is Carnage that important a character to the world of comics as a whole? Convince me. Certainly a mid to high level in relation to Spiderman, but to the entirety of comics? Green Goblin I would rate as mid, is Carnage as important as Green Goblin? HidingTalk14:34, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No opinion if Carnage should be mid or low, but high is certainly overrated (see my reasoning for the different categories on the talk page). I notice that already, some overenthusiasm in putting articles in Top and High is happening, but I'll wait to comment on most until I have a better view of what numbers these categories will have. Crisis on Infinite Earths is currently rated as an 'A' class (and 'Top' importance) article - I'm not sure this class is correct, but I'm not confident enough to amend it myself. Can someone take a look? --Mrph18:53, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Technet - I think this article is now set out very nicely, considering the complication of the material. Probably not very important though! -Kez 21:03, 24 August 2007 (UTC) - Done Maple Leaf20:16, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Stan Lee Media has just been expanded to fall within the scope of the project. I added the template and gave it a quality assessment myself (not without reasoning) but have no idea what to give it for its importance rating.--Once in a Blue Moon (talk) 06:38, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Jeffrey Brown This article has not yet been rated and I would like it to have at least a quality rating. Mynameisnotpj (talk) 11:26, 30 April 2008 (UTC) Rated as start and mid importance, Brown is a relatively important creator in independent comics. The Journal interview may help flesh the article out. Awesome Comics. I've edited Rob Liefeld's Awesome Comics considerably, with a lot of information about both the company and it's output, as well as adding a near-complete bibliography. Noticed that there was this "rating" page, so I thought I'd mention it. ntnon (talk) 21:06, 4 February 2008 (UTC) B-Class. HidingT14:12, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The Order of the Stick. Last time this was assessed was before I added sections on Critical Reaction and its use of parody as a form of commentary on roleplaying games, as well as a big pile of inline references, which I'm hoping increased the article's real-world context significantly. --Ig8887 (talk) 17:30, 5 February 2008 (UTC) C-Class, is tagged as needing additional sources so that needs fixing. HidingT14:12, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hungarian comics. I created the article not so long ago, and I'm planning on improving it somemore (e.g. adding images), but before that it would be useful to see, where this article is at the moment. Thanks! Zoli79 (talk) 22:25, 11 February 2008 (UTC) Rated C-Class by User:Emperor who feels more refs are needed.[reply]
Checker Book Publishing Group. I haven't done the "Publishing History" yet, but otherwise, this should be a pretty-complete guide to this comics/newsstrip reprinting operation. ntnon (talk) 01:28, 5 March 2008 (UTC) C-Class, is tagged as needing additional sources so that needs fixing. HidingT14:12, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Spider-Man: One More Day This article is pretty stable with no major changes occurring. It looks at least B-Class 1. Referencing and citation: Y 2. Coverage and accuracy: Y 3. Structure: Y 4. Grammar: Y 5. Supporting materials: Y. Would like to request a peer review first. Also any thoughts on what needs to be done to obtain a better rating. Stextc (talk) 02:00, 12 March 2008 (UTC) B-Class, suggest nominating for GA-Class. HidingT14:12, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Cloak of Levitation — I've extended the article quite a bit(maybe five-fold?!) and added a picture. I know it's no longer a stub, so I'm going to go ahead and remove the stub template. ~ Wakanda's Black Panther!♠/♦ 04:23, 14 April 2008 (UTC) C-Class article, a few more refs and some detail on creative decisions needed for B. Stepford Cuckoos needs a rating for importance and quality. I went through and changed the in-universe style and attempted to reduce redundant and non-notable/speculative information.Luminum (talk) 22:38, 7 October 2008 (UTC) C-Class, basically because of the cite needed in the lead. HidingT12:57, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Michel Vaillant -I think this article is ready to be assesed B-class. I have added references requested to comply with the first criterion for B-Class status. I would like a confirmation by some experienced users. --Pah777 (talk) 18:10, 17 October 2008 (UTC) B-Class, expand the lead and submit for GA. HidingT12:57, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Lightning Lass - I think this article is ready to be assessed again. I have added references, and cleaned up the 3 introductions that were original listed. I would like some ideas as to what else needs to be fixed if it is not ready for B Class. Sgetz (talk) 18:46, 20 October 2008 (UTC) Assessed as C-Class, needs more out of universe coverage and more refs. HidingT12:57, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Siege (comics) - I've filled in this article as much as I possibly could as well as added a picture. I think it's been improved dramatically so I'm requesting it be assessed.Xbriskox (talk) 21:09, 26 November 2008 (UTC) Very strong C-Class. HidingT12:57, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Liam Sharp Just noticed the article is 'C' class, and low. There's a been a ton of work done on it, so just wondered if we could get the re-evaluated? I can verify it's 100% accurate! :) Best, Liam.
LGBT themes in comics. I'm gradually working this up to GA, and have completely rewritten it and added 50 sources. An outside oppinion on whether it meets B class yet would be nice (and any comments on what is missing for GA?). Thanks!YobMod09:45, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Anole (comics) - Rquesting reassessment. I followed all listed suggestions from the B-Class grading, standardizing all references to Wiki: Citation templates, expanding the lead, condensing sections into notable character development points, and adding further real world analysis and impact with third party sources. Hoping to work this up to a GA and eventually an FA. Thanks!Luminum (talk) 19:14, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Star Sapphire (comics) - It's been rated at C class, but I've made a number of significant changes to it. I've corrected grammar, added citations, and done a lot of general clean up. I tried to get a peer review, but no one has responded. So I figured I'd just jump to this. Hooliganb (talk) 17:08, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The Doomsday Scenario - It's been rated Start class, but I suggest it's clearly better than that. It meets the B class checklist criteria, so I think it ought to be B or at least C class, looking at the table above. I can't re-rate it myself because I'm biased, since I wrote most of it. Richard75 (talk) 18:51, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Erfworld - I've streamlined this long and tangled page into something more like an article. Seeking C-class instead of start class. 119.11.0.224 (User:npatchett)
Barry_Windsor-Smith I'd appreciate a critique of a number of pages I've done recently, for potential upgrading (of course) and good pointers for future contributions. Hoping to upgrade a significant number of existing pages in 2010, and add more. This would help immensely. Thanks - note: the next entries also link Archiveangel (talk) 02:50, 24 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Viper Comics ... page is currently assessed as advertisement. I've edited the content to more neutral language and added a couple of references. I'm new at this, so let me know what additional edits would be appropriate. --Mettam (talk) 13:05, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Jason Todd Last rated C-Class but it's now been heavily rewritten and developed. [Mike]
Women in Refrigerators I'm new to the peer review process - I'd like to work to make an A article but am confused about the peer review process. At the least, I went through the last iteration and did a clean up and am wondering if it at least rates a B now. Fcr (talk) 04:16, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Lat: Malaysian cartoonist who received a title equivalent to a knighthood for his work. Massive rewrite, article is also undergoing a peer review here (comments are welcome). The current article approaches A-class in my view and I tried giving it a straight B, but the Comics template wants a checklisted approach, so here it is listed. Jappalang (talk) 15:00, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The Kampung Boy: Lat's most well-known work. I have expanded and rewritten with reliable sources. Not yet sent to a peer review, but like Lat's article, I believe it is substantially better than before. Jappalang (talk) 15:00, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Denis Gifford Requesting re-assessment of article currently ranked as C-class in Wikiproject comics, changed quite a lot plus comigraphy/ comic writings list page. talk22:28, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I agree this has reached B-class. I don't feel qualified to comment on higher rankings. Consider submitting this for Good Article status? HenryCrun15 (talk) 01:35, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Norman Osborn - Requesting reassessment for a C-list article to be upgraded to B-list. I believe we've addressed the previously outstanding criterion of citations. Plus, it's been rewritten to address grammatical errors and structural problems. --Downthewikiwormhole (talk) 18:41, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I see this has now received an assessment of Stub, and I agree. Since all sources are primary sources (apart from one Goodreads link, and Goodreads is not a reliable source), this hasn't even met a basic requirement of an article to demonstrate notability. Until that's met I think it must be the lowest rating. HenryCrun15 (talk) 02:57, 12 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Dennis Hopeless - Was told to add more biographical details to get a higher grade, so I added a personal section with information about his wife and children. Have kept the page updated with current work. OffensiveName (talk) 19:35, 10 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
For B-class I think the Bibliography section would need to be both sourced and up to date, and currently it's neither. So I think it has to stay at C-class. HenryCrun15 (talk) 20:31, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I have bumped this up to C-class as it is extensive, but no further as it lacks a lot of citations. For example, where is the source for the statement "Comics started developing in Serbia in the late 19th century, mostly in humor and children’s magazines"?
