In his book Palestine under the Moslem, first published in 1890, Guy le Strange lists the geographers/writers he has used [1]. He names 24 people. As the translation from an Arab name into English is very, very different from author to author, some of the names are difficult to recognise. Here are some names found on Wikipedia:
