Hydrology

Propose a hydrology-stub template and category for hydrology. Currently some of these are under geology and others under engineering. There are currently at least 70 stubs under 512 in size, not counting the 19 water-supply-stubs categorized under Hydrology. The water-supply-stubs would presumably be a subcategory. --Bejnar (talk) 01:28, 31 March 2012 (UTC)

  • I think that this would be useful: hydrology articles cross forestry, geology, civil engineering, ecology, ... so a particular stub category should help interested Wikipedians find articles that need work within this very interdisciplinary topic. Awickert (talk) 04:22, 9 April 2012 (UTC)

Addiction & recovery stubs

This is a stub that seem usefuls to add to the collection:

The current category for Addiction is sparse. There seems to be a great amount of work on Addiction left to be done. - Wikiworld2 (talk) 14:12, 11 March 2012 (UTC)

Reject: There are less than 60 articles in the whole Addiction category tree which have less than 1000 bytes, and only a small minority of these actually have anything to do with addiction or recovery - most are only in the addiction tree because Category:Tobacco is part of the tree. There are only 2 or 3 stubs I could find which would use this stub tag, and those would be better off with something like {{Treatment-stub}}. --Qetuth (talk) 10:12, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

American Revolutionary War

The American Revolutionary War task force currently has 386 stubs. Proposing to create the following:

Support, but not certain about the stub name: Usually we use US in place of American in a stub name, but 'American Revolutionary' is the actual name of the war - never mind, matches format of {{AmericanCivilWar-stub}}. A quick glance through the stub list shows many either do not have a stub tag at all or have one unrelated to the military (such as just a statename-stub), so this definitely seems needed. --Qetuth (talk) 00:00, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Split of Category:Virginia geography stubs

Recently, the Virginia geography stubs were split into unrequested categories, most of which are undersized. I propose a different split, by region, based on this map. There are three categories already built which have been organized to align with the map:

I propose the following additional Parent-only categories:

Which leaves the Eastern Shore without a separate category. But since it only has two counties, both of which support a separate category, I'm not concerned about a regional category. Dawynn (talk) 18:23, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

American Civil War stubs

Partial split of Pennsylvania NRHP by county

Category:Milwaukee metropolitan geography stubs

Propose new category for the defined Milwaukee metropolitan area. Would include Milwaukee, Waukesha, Washington, and Ozaukee counties.
