Eye Opener
editHey I want to say thanks, I came across your essay, and just the other day I had started to nominate things for speedy deletion. Now I realize the potential damage and will research an article further / tag for obvious attack/vandal pages. Seriously great essay . Thanks SparksBoy (talk)
Editing experience
editThis article seems in a couple of places to conflate administrators with editors who are experienced with writing content. I don't think that's a very widespread view on enwiki - especially at requests for adminship! - so I'm going to remove it. Still, feel free to discuss. Is this satire?
editThis man wrote an entire final testimony about why he hates speedy deletion... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bigeshjen (talk • contribs) 22:17, 11 June 2022 (UTC)
Should we add something on F9/dated speedy deletion for files?
editI have seen many people (yes, I am guilty of this) over zealously apply F9 and dated speedy deletion to files that they think are copyvios. — MATRIX! (a good person!)[citation unneeded] 17:01, 10 November 2023 (UTC)
CSD -> speedy deleter
editA long time ago, CSD'er (a speedy deleter) was changed to CSD (the actual criteria) in the first paragraph. This makes this sentence really confusing for a new reader:
"The problem is that a careless, hasty, or overzealous CSD can be much worse than a common vandal."
Can we just change CSD to speedy deleter? Celjski Grad (talk) 16:41, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
