Fire Monkey (Chinese: 丙申; pinyin: bǐngshēn) is the 33rd combination of the sexagenary cycle of the Chinese zodiac. It is preceded by Wood Goat and followed by Fire Rooster. In the traditional correspondence of the Heavenly Stems with the Five Phases, bǐng (丙) represents yang and Fire, while the Earthly Branch shēn (申) corresponds to the Monkey zodiac.[1][2]
Gregorian calendar years
[edit source]A year of the Fire Monkey occurs every 60 years according to the following table: The chart cannot be correct if the sixty year cycle is followed. The 34th 60 year cyle would be 2040 AD which is missing from the chart.
