The 1874 Missouri State Auditor election was held on 3 November 1874 in order to elect the state auditor of Missouri. Democratic nominee Thomas Holloday defeated People's nominee Ewen C. Hale.
On election day, 3 November 1874, Democratic nominee Thomas Holloday won the election by a margin of 40,885 votes against his opponent People's nominee Ewen C. Hale, thereby retaining Democratic control over the office of state auditor. Holloday was sworn in as the 17th state auditor of Missouri on 11 January 1875.[1]
