edit- 19 June – 1945 El Teniente mining accident;355 workers die from carbon monoxide emissions. It is considered the largest accident in a metallurgical mine in the world.
- 26 June - Chile is one of the 51 founding states of the United Nations Organization when signing the Charter of the United Nations in San Francisco, United States.
