The 1949 Puget Sound Loggers football team represented the College of Puget Sound—now known as the University of Puget Sound—as a member of the Evergreen Conference during the 1949 college football season. Led by second-year head coach John P. Heinrick, the Loggers compiled an overall record of 7–1 with a mark of 5–1 in conference play, sharing the Evergreen title with Eastern Washington.[1] Puget Sound played home games at the Lincoln Bowl in Tacoma, Washington.
