The 1982 West Texas State Buffaloes football team was an American football team that represented West Texas State University (now known as West Texas A&M University) as a member of the Missouri Valley Conference during the 1982 NCAA Division I-AA football season. In their first year under head coach Don Davis, the team compiled a 3–8 record with a mark of 1–4 in conference play, and finished tied for sixth in the MVC.
