South Melbourne defeated Nadi 5–1 in the final, which was played at the Prince Charles Park in Nadi, Fiji. As winners, South Melbourne qualified for the 2000 FIFA Club World Championship.

Adelaide City were the defending champions, but did not qualify for the tournament.
