The 2008 Oregon State Treasurer election was held on 4 November 2008 in order to elect the Oregon State Treasurer. Democratic nominee and member of the Oregon State Senate from the 27th district Ben Westlund defeated Republican nominee Allen Alley and Constitution nominee Michael Paul Marsh.[1]

General Election
editThe general election was held on 4 November 2008. Democratic nominee Ben Westlund won the election by a margin of 97,106 votes against his foremost opponent Republican nominee Allen Alley, thereby retaining Democratic control over the office of State Treasurer. Westlund was sworn in on 3 January 2009.[2]
