The 2022 Flint, Michigan mayoral election was held on November 8, 2022, to elect the mayor of the city of Flint, Michigan.[1] The primary was held on August 8, 2022.[1] Incumbent mayor Sheldon Neeley was re-elected with 53% of the vote.[2]

Campaign
editFor a candidate to be on the ballot, they had to submit the signatures of 600 registered Flint voters.[3] The first candidate to announce his campaign was former city councilman, Maurice Davis, who ran as a supporter of President Donald Trump and focused his campaign on gun violence.[10]
Results
editNeeley and Weaver won the primary, with 48.8% and 40.1% of the vote respectively, while Mays lagged behind with 11.1%.[2][11] Neeley defeated Weaver in the runoff, where he secured 53% of the vote.[2]
