The 2023–24 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa budget was presented on 20 June 2023, the caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa approved a budget exceeding 462 billion rupees for the first four months of the fiscal year 2023–24.[1] Muhammad Azam Khan the interim chief minister passed the budget was during a cabinet meeting.[2]

editHimayatullah, Advisor to the Caretaker Chief Minister on finance, stated that Rs.309 billion were designated for settled districts and 40 billion for merged districts. The Annual Development Program received an allocation of over 51 billion for settled areas and 8.6 billion for merged districts. 350 billion were also approved for non-developmental expenses and 112 billion for developmental expenses.[3]
Salaries increased of government employees of BPS-1 to BPS-16 up to thirty five percent and for BPS-17 and above up to thirty percent. Retired employees' pensions were increased by seventeen percent.[4]
